Whew !! we've been testing them for more than 3 months . I own hugo and hugo TT , I got Chord QBD76 HDSD from my friend Elzio and we make compression for 2 weeks . We tried the three dacs with High end loudspeakers and many headphones , the result was :

1- Chord QBD76 HDSD: Tonality : 98 - Bass performance : 94 - Mids : 96 - treble : 95 - Soundstage : 95 - Separation : 93 - Dynamic sound : 94 - Detail : 97 - Tiny detail : 97 - Vocals : 95 - Emotion : 94 - Realistic sound  : 95 - Musicality : 94 .

   2 -  Chord Hugo TT :   Tonality : 93 - Bass performance : 93 - Mids : 93 - treble : 94 - Soundstage : 94 - Separation : 93 - Dynamic sound : 93 - Detail : 95 - Tiny detail : 92 - Vocals : 93 - Emotion : 92 - Realistic sound : 94 - Musicality : 95 .
clearer than hugo by about 7 %, more separation between instruments , black background which allow you to hear more detail, richer sound than hugo but far behind Chord QBD76 HDSD.

     3 - Chord Hugo :      Tonality : 92 - Bass performance : 93 - Mids : 92 . treble : 93 - Soundstage : 93 -  Separation : 91 -  Dynamic sound : 93 -  Detail : 95 - Tiny detail : 92 - Vocals : 93 -  Emotion : 91 -  Realistic sound : 94 - Musicality : 95 .
Still the best portable dac/amp , can be used as a desktop dac , very clear , warmth sound , sometimes it' sound clourless .

I can't wait for the new model of Chord QBD76 HDSD, I really hope Chord company will keep the tonaltiy of Chord QBD76 HDSD and improve it further more , it's really a unique product .  I can't write a review about each product But I'm trying to give hints that may help you .

Interesting... so the HDSD is still the king. I'll be happy with the Hugo's price tag and portability though.

think it's safe to say that no information on Project XXXX will be released until Munich next week... not long now and yes I know drooling can mess up a keyboard, it's the prerequisite part of the package when you sign up for Head-Fi.

if I can quote a famous Chord owner from the past, 'to drool or not to drool that is the question'...

You've had a Hugo TT for more than 3 months?

Hugo TT is the last dac we've been tested . it's here in my desk for 2 weeks , Hugo for 9 months and Chord QBD76 HDSD with my friend for 2 years . He still has it , now I know the reason . but berkeley reference dac is the newest dac I own and I use it everyday with my loudspeakers, simply the best dac I've heard .

Berkeley scores 100 in all sonic aspects (with respect to the three Chords)?

I think that comparing all of these products is quite unfair to the original hugo, which is the only one portable.

Comparing hugo with any other portable, i do not think that we are able to fiind at the moment anything better.

About Berkeley : it does something that no other dac can do and that make the sound coming from the air itself.
I like Hugo alot , hugo TT too I used  it with high end headphones lcd 3 , T1 and 009 and sometimes with speakers .Three Dacs' are amazing and  won't disappoint you
