For purchase, no.  But for personal digital transfers from say vinyl, yes.  In fact my ADC does 32bit natively on transfers to the PC.  So for remastering purposes it will be nice to use the Hugo HD with my Audeze LCD-X for playback.  If I choose to keep the file in 32bit, I could do so.  But of course that isn't necessary.
Main point is, it's available, 32bit.

It is a customized USB chip.
 
I wish it was so simple, RF noise can leach in through the ground, then you have coupling through the pins, then you have the RF noise that the receiver creates due to noisy inputs. A lot of so called audiophile cables actually are RF poor and create more noise.
 
Some people actually like the sound of noise floor modulation, because it sounds brighter and superficially more detailed. So we have a lot of variables, which is why there are so many opinions.
 
Myself - I used to be very bothered about cables, I am very much more relaxed about it now. Make sure your digital connections have good RF performance, then Hugo will sound fantastic, simple as that.

You could just use the HD USB input - convenient and sounds great.

What format is your 500gb of music in? An alternative would be to use an idevice and a wireless hard disk like the seagate wireless plus and stream it via something like 8player.

Yes you can. When you turn these on, they create their own wireless network, which you can password protect so only you and those you give the password to can connect and access the contents of the disk.

They'll stream FLAC fine, just not DSD without conversion.

They also run off an internal battery, and have a battery life comparable to the Hugo's.

Another (trans)portable way is streaming our music collection through wireless network as mentioned in previous replies, simply purchase something like Seagate Wireless Plus 1 TB connecting Android / iOS devices to Hugo via CCK / USB OTG. Just run an Android / iOS app with DLNA support like the ones from Seagate

Not to knock your choice of Asus, but I don't think this is a good choice for use on a Hugo.  For one it doesn't have an independent usb port.  The sub hub solution you use sounds okay as you so willingly confirm.   I don't think this model is even in production anymore.
If you go the Asus route, get this one,

With this model you have a full 3.0 usb port and a mini usb port.  Really I would like to see two full usb ports, one for the Hugo and another for a memory styx or hard drive, etc.  But you could make the mini usb port work. 
I think with this model of Asus in combination with a good player software like JRiver, you would get just as good of sound as with any full PC solution via usb to mini HD Hugo.
NOTE:  The keypad disconnects from the screen for a tablet just like the surface pro 2.

I reckon on using two file types with the Hugo, Wav & Atrac Advance Lossless (Sony)... I'm also considering getting a CD-transport for my desktop needs (maybe a Pioneer PD-30-S SACD) into the Hugo, I'm kinda lazy and I really don't fancy ripping/uploading 500+ CD's into Flac.
 
My experiences with SACD's has not reaped any major benefits to these ears, the couple of Hi-Res downloads I've purchased have been disappointing to say the least compared to ordinary Red-Book (no earth moving differences between the two)... sometimes I wonder at these major sound-upgrades people hear because I really don't get it, maybe I have defective hearing.

Some how I share your feeling, given that with Hugo and a 400w speaker Amp into HE-6, all Red Book  sounds like analogue , so fresh, lively and natural .
 
I have a HDD with 3TB of HD master tape  music and SACD( dff) , another 2TB HDD of WAV 44.1kz music , ripped from CDs , and a 1.5TB HDD of FLAC  ripped by a friend from his collection , again standard resolution. 
There are some famous disks which I have both the WAV or FLAC version, ripped from CDs  the 24/192 master tape version and DSD 64 version ( ripped from SACD) . I kept switching to and fro between these sources , and with the DSD materials, switching between direct DSD output and DSD -PCM output . Though apparently the high definition versions sounds a bot more high resolution, I prefer the CD sounds , more lively and  natural. It may have something to do with the re-mastering of the SACDs. I even feel that there are some noise added into the DSD recordings .

I presume people want to use ASUS Transformer T100 with Jriver to play DSD files (DSF,DFF, ISO). I am not technical but a bit worried if the processing power can ensure the data being sent smoothly without some occasional pauses. I have experienced pauses from a cheap notebook, HM901 (coaxial - DoP) and DX50 (coaxial - DoP)...

 That 500 Gig HDD is just an external drive.  Better to get your own external drive separate bigger and cheaper.  Go with just the PC for cheaper price.

Thanks for the info. However, I am more concentrating on those streamers or digital transporters that can natively output hi-res (196 kHz or higher) data stream via coaxial. Hydra-X, for instance, is in fact a DDC.

But, you're right. So far, too few resources that are higher than 196kHz. It's doesn't make too much sense to chase after the ghost. Studio masters files are the future. Although it's still a long way to go.
