Hugo 2 feeding to benchmark ahb2 power amp. I attached a sub through RCA out of Hugo 2 and amp through headphone out via RCA to 3.5mm stereo adapter as main interconnect for power amp were not fitting directly into RCA out of Hugo 2 while sub interconnect RCA plug being thinner ,went into RCA out of Hugo 2. all cables are furutech custom . I did not have a dap with optical out so using a coaxial to optical converter with fiio X3 2k dap. Hugo 2 now sounding very clean yet detailed and vocals are extremely life like. Sound has lot more bass punch than hugo1 and mojo.

I have today A&K SP1000SS -> SHURE KSE1500.

I wonder if someone has compared the HUGO2 and the A&K SP1000 as source for the SHURE KSE1500 ?

or . A&K SP1000 -> KSE1500 against A&K SP1000 -> HUGO2 -> KSE1500 ?

Sorry if this has been asked before but if the hugo 2 has zero jitter would adding
a micro rendu be overkill?

I feel mr is unnecessary totally. What is mojo's special operation (768khz coax?) Sounds like soming out of black-ops.:helicopter: I am genuinely interested if anyone knows. As far as i know mojo does not work with an mscaler unless one utilises only 0.5M taps????

Hi MK,
Have you tried streaming/ micro or ultra-Rendus? Personally, I found every cable or device I put in front of the H2 helped (please refer to my signature). of course YMMV.

If h2 is jitter immune these devices should not make any measurable difference. Rob has stated they artficially improve sonics by giving the impression of added brightness which initially gives the feeling of a better sound but in time this is quickly eroded. I admit when i had a h2 it was a macair on battery only. The forums are full of so much contradictory impressions i've decided to "copy" whatever the designer does to a large degree. Of course YMMV.:L3000: With speaker setups however tweaks may be more in demand than with headphone use with h2.

May I have a question how is hugo2 connected to a Benchmark amp when chord has only rca and benchmark has only balanced imputs? Is it any issue?

I guess you missed the part of this thread where someone connected the Blu2 to a Hugo 2 using a 3.5mm to RCA cable activating both coax inputs simultaneously.

I wont explain the issues with USB, you can search. It has nothing to do with jitter.

with hugo2 i understand 1M taps are exploited to full use but not if you were to connect a blu2 to mojo.

I guess with suitable adaptors/cables for bnc to single stereo? Mojo does not have the ability to accept 1M taps like hugo2.

I am a new Hugo 2 owner and am confused with regards to Hugo’s desktop mode.

I have scanned through some of this thread and read some posts but I am still confused and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the situation

To put Hugo 2 into desktop mode, I plug the charger into the wall socket and then I plug the micro usb cable into Hugo’s usb charging port. I then switch the charger on and leave it charging hugo for > 24 hours.

24+ hours later I turn Hugo on with the remote and the power ball is now a magenta colour indictating desktop mode.

The charger is still switched on and still connected to hugo.

This is the part that I am unsure of,

To ensure longevity of the batteries and when hugo 2 is in desktop mode, does hugo itself need to be turned on all the time, even when not using it ?

Or can it be turned off via the remote or the power ball, whilst leaving the charger powered on and connected to hugo all the time.

Which is the correct way to use hugo whilst in desktop mode to ensure maximum battery life ?

Can any Hugo 2 owners help with the above question.
