To each their own. Over and out.

@NYanakiev apparently I am not the only one since @Daniel Johnston seems to be another "lucky" owner :) Contrary to you, mine opinion is based on first hand customer experience with both products, side by side.

With APKPure it is a lot less closed ecosystem than Poly IMHO and I have band camp app working from the first installation. So far I've got a single update and it worked smoothly, the product is delivering all the promised features out-of-the-box (contrary to Poly) and the only reason I can think of for DAP firmware update at this point are changes in streaming services but I'm mostly sticking to SDcard playback (just like I did with Poly).

Indeed both Poly and A&K DAP worked instantly with Roon but I will not carry around Rockna WLS with me just to make Poly work  In fact Poly setup with Roon is the only one that has been successfully working for me for longer time but due to its limits it made sense only in-house which in turn made the whole Poly/Mojo setup pointless for me.

Agreed.

Poly and Roon is a fantastic "around the house" setup. MPD is okay, but cuts out the benefits of streaming and Roon radio. I've tried pretty much everything mentioned in this thread and Rigelian is the best I've found for MPD and travels outside the home. MConnect, Bubble UPnP, UAPP, etc.. all are fiddly at best and just plain annoying unless on stable WiFi. I've had little to no luck with hotspots via cell phone or portable routers. You have to REALLY want the poly/Mojo2 to work under these conditions.

I guess I'm getting to old and lazy to keep screwing around or finding workarounds. When traveling, a DAP is the best. At home, Roon is the best. YMMV

Has anybody had issues upgrading Poly to 3.2.4? Mine seems stuck on 3.2.1.

I am using the latest GoFigure app on Android (version 18). When I go to Firmware Update it says "An update for your device is available". But when I perform the upgrade, the P-status blinks green-red then blinks white for a long time as expected, but when it finally turns solid white again and I reconnect the GoFigure app, I find that it is still on 3.2.1, and the app still says that an update is available.

A factory reset didn't help.

My smooth running with Poly did not last long. Came to use it today after about a week off from it and Poly will not connect to MAFA or Gofigure on my phone. Nothing had been changed.
Infuriating isn't it. I went through exactly the same about 6 months ago, nothing I tried would get a quick connection like I had 7 months ago. Then it suddenly cleared up and its been perfect ever since. I did nothing any different.

I have 2 x Polys.
One of them updated without issue from 3.2.1 to 3.2.4.
The other one exhibits the exact symptoms you describe. Further, while I can connect to this one via Bluetooth using GoFigure (The jankiest app in the World), I cannot stream music to it via Bluetooth, which is not an issue on the first one.

I too have tried every possible kind of factory reset and even run the battery down to zero but it is still stuck, telling me there's an update that it won't ever do.

Interesting, thanks for sharing. I contacted Chord support, and they told me there is some kind of ongoing issue with the update servers. But I suspect that's not the real cause here, as other people have described the same problems, and apparently some hardware issues were at the root of it, which Chord fixed once the device was sent back to them.

I use Poly with my smartphone (Android) and MAFA and I have no problem using the mobile hotspot, even if I set the Poly hotspot it works the same.

What is your configuration? and what connections do you make

Hi,
I'm not even outside the home WiFi and having these issues. I have a very good home WiFi connection and as I said nothing has changed from previously when poly was working great on my home WiFi network playing from the memory card using android phone.
Can't understand how it can go from playing absolutely fine without issues for some time and then suddenly stop connecting completely even gofigure is refusing to connect to poly.
I have tried my other phone with same results so poly is the issue.

I am not sure if my Poly is broken so need to ask on here who have more knowledge than me.
The P.status light is not lighting up at all when trying to connect or when pressing in the config button.
Poly is not showing up on phones Bluetooth and WiFi.
So is it normal to not have any lights show on the poly P.status when there are connection issues I would have thought when it's attempting to connect there should be some activity on the P.status light?
Thanks

Sounds like your poly isn't turning on. It could have a dead/discharged battery.

Can you charge the poly separately?

M status battery on poly shows green so fully charged.
Only had the mojo 2 and Poly 4 weeks so just dropped it back at the shop for them to sort it out I've run out of patience.

M status is the Mojo. P status is the Poly. Hope it gets sorted for you.

I hope it's not just the Ploy battery needs charging as I will look a bit stupid when the shop investigates
I only charged both Mojo 2 and Poly fully the other day and they hadn't been used much so I assume it's not a needing charge issue.
I must admit though I didn't try charging the Poly again to see if it corrects the issue.
Can the Poly's battery drain over say two to three weeks if not used as I'm starting to think it's the poly needed to be charged again.

Absolutely. That is one of the Poly issues.
