On Android ? I have tried it again (hotspot mode or not) I can't see Poly as UPnP/DLNA server with UAPP or BubbleUPnP (paid version). I don't know why.

Yes. On Android.

Poly hotspot mode should've eliminated network issues.

Do you have another device to try? Tablet or PC?

Otherwise try a hard reset on Poly.

Hi-Fi Cast is a good alternative to Bubble and much simpler to configure. UPnP Tool for Developers is a useful tool to see whether Poly is advertising itself as a server and renderer on the network.
Thanks for the trick.
That confirms that somehow Poly is not showing as a UPnP server

This happened to me as well. Then all magically started working. It takes a bit after poly restart for DLNA server to show up.

Interesting. Are you using Android ? I have tried UAPP and BubbleUPnP on Android and in both cases I don't see Poly as a UPnP/DLNA server.
I only manage to playback from Poly's SD card using a MPD client such as M.A.L.P.

Others have already responded but, yes, it works for me on both Android with BubbleUPnP and iOS with mConnect. I'm not sure why your's isn't. For what it's worth my wifi router is an Asus RT-AX86U, non-mesh setup, with Dual Band

Yes the server doesn't startup properly at times. A simple restart resolves it every time.

I just updated the GoFigure on IOS (both on iphone and ipad) and in both cases I'm no longer getting the server error (tells me my firmware is up to date which is correct).

GoFigure is updated to version 2.15 on iOS - 7/5/24. Firmware error appears to be fixed.

I updated, but the Poly keeps disconnecting when I try and update the firmware. I’ll try again later

AirPlay (1/uncompressed) is CD-standard 16 bit/ 44.1 kHz, isn't it? Just because I read two times in this thread above that it's 16/48, the latter is highlighted as Hi-res (in the app/by streaming service) AFAIR. Not that it's such a big difference, but nevertheless...
You’re likely right, I went back and looked at the table Darko had posted with his video and it says 16/44.1.

I have to resort this for me once again, I know this table from Darko.audio, but I can't remember when these 48KHz come into play, they do definitely, but only in some combinations of software/hardware, possibly. But as Daniel posted, it's not such a big deal anyway. As long as 1 puts a SD card in the slot or I stream qobuz/tidal via mconnect, I am very happy to rely on better resolution. There exist some albums, I stream from bandcamp, where 48 might be the case or some streaming of Live concerts over the iPad, when I route the sound over AirPlay on Poly... But thanks for digging that table out again! You may have already stumbled upon this, second paragraph below Protocols, but outdated?: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirPlay

Any tips how to get over the hump, i'm currently on 2.0.0 firmware and using the ios and android app gofigure both says my firmware is up to date and doesnt trigger the update. I am sure the 2.0.0 firmware is correct as i tried using my mojo 2 on the poly and it doesnt connect, pairing it once again back to the mojo 1 fixes it though it's still the same ob 2.0 firmware. Just asking here as there might be some tips/advice i could try to trigger the update. Tried it on iphone and ipad already and a couple of android devices and same message "poly firmware up to date" even if on 2.0.0, thanks in advance :)

He's right technically as Airplay 1 can transmit 16/44 vs Airplay 2 24/48. But that's not the full story. You need to go back to older threads. Specifically about the airport express and apple TVs that output only 16/48. So what's doing the resampling? Is it the server side or reciever? You'll have to sift through computer audiophile threads to see the debate. In the end it really doesn't matter and not worth the hassle.

With Apple endpoints for certain like the AppleTV as they (used to at least) output 16/48 via the optical port. And there is a difference between Shairport and Airport implementations possibly. The 48khz was partly due to audio tracks in movies.

Is it that the Poly is actually on FW 2.0, or the updater says it's on 2.0?

I'd reach out to Chord. You can't be the first one trying to update an old Poly.
