I think you have to update to FW 1.3 via the microSD. It's been a while, but you can't use gofigure to update FW until you update to 1.x or maybe 2.

In essence, you need to download whatever the last downloadable FW is and put it on empty microSD. I would suggest to email Chord support. Otherwise, sift or search this thread to see if the download links work. You will not be able to use GoFigure until you get to FW 2.0.
Hi sir, i am able to use gofigure app, yeah i found it weird too... or i might have gotten confused due to lack of sleep figuring this out hehe thanks so much appreciate the help a lot :) posted some screenshots i got earlier

You'll get the screen, but the poly can't update with GoFigure with your FW version. This has nothing to do with the cloud update server issue chord currently has.

You need to do what I suggested. Chord didn't introduce GoFigure FW update ability until FW 2.x. Your FW is exceedingly old. Maybe a couple others who had the poly since near the beginning can chime in. It's crazy to think such a basic thing is not possible as using an app to update FW, but it's true for the Poly.

Besides, the latest FW (3.x) pointed the Poly to new server address. So you not only can't use gofigure to update, the server the poly/gofigure is looking for doesn't exist.

The download links earlier in this thread probably don't work. But it's worth a try. Good luck. You'll need a Mojo1 to hear the config voice prompts. Plan on a couple really frustrating hours. 😒

Thanks for all the help guys!!!

Magically, I managed to get the unit going. Ran the same update routine multiple times, then installed the GoFigure app on a different phone, connected it to the Poly and finally the app loaded correctly. Software version was at 1.0.43 (or something similar) and I was able to update it to 2.0.0 via the app. Cleared Bluetooth cache on my main phone, reinstalled the app, added the Poly and now all's working with my phone as well. I can now see my main Wi-Fi network as well - pretty much all is working as it should.

Still have couple of more updates to do - 2.0.3 and 2.0.4 afterwards, but I'll postpone them a bit, would first enjoy the combo as initially planned :)

The whole update process is the weirdest thing I encountered in a LOOOONG time with any kind of electrical device. It's beyond me how a company like Chord has such a strange method of doing it and couldn't agree more that this should be changed asap.

Thanks again to all that helped!

thanks for your instructions way back, my firmware is now on 1.0.44, updating to 2.0 via gofigure is the next challenge as it is still throwing me an error. It is the last firmware though so it should update

Just need to connect my poly to wifi and let it on until the p-status flashing red green blue (indicating that the poly updating) wait 5 minutes, and turned it off and voila, my firmware successfully updated to 1.0.43. And just let gofigure update the firmware to V3. Now i'm pretty happy with my poly, i bought it ~230usd 2nd hand.
sorry to dig up a year old post, just curious did it update on iphone or android? i am on this stage now of the firmware but cannot upgrade to the latest

Just an update, was able to finally get it to be recognized by gofigure app on a consistent basis turns out what i have is version 1.0.4.1, i am getting the update prompt to 2.0 but the update does not push through and says there is no internet connection even though there is. Tried several networks on 2.4ghz but still the same i'm guessing this is bec of the server issue? just making sure so no need to try as i will just have to wait for it to be fixed, thanks in advance :)
That is a very early version of Poly firmware, so you will experience many frustrations. For such an early version of the Poly firmware you will probably need a Mojo owner to be part of the process.
it could be very helpful for you to post your location on head-fi.
There are many genuine chord poly owners who will be delighted to help you, but we need some help from you first.

For what is worth on my Android phone GoFigure is able to check the firmware version - tells me I'm up to date with 3.2.4 (with no server error messages).
However when I try to run the same firmware check from my iphone I still get the server error msg ...

Same here on iOS. I got in early and managed to update to 3.2.4 but it throws up the error message now when I go to the page on GoFigure. I'm not going to second guess why it's taking Chord a while to fix it but I think a quick message across their socials explaining that they're on it and you're really not missing anything if you've not upgraded would be prudent for good will.

Cool. I think you could probably do this with WireGuard as well but you do need the pocket modem to actually make it work... Especially when you can use Roon Arc via USB direct to Mojo 2 (ditching the Poly)... But it's an interesting solution, thanks for the info.
Initially I tried to use WireGuard with bridge mode. Unfortunately, I gave up using WireGuard because I have not been able to find the easy way to achieve the bridge mode.

I’ve not been able to connect to the Poly upgrade server since I bought my Poly so contacted Chord support. They said the issue is just about resolved and to expect an update to GoFigure in the Apple and Google app stores in a week(ish) that will fix the problem.

What is your current firmware version? Mine stuck at 2.0 waiting for their servers to get back online, so currently stuck with using the mojo 1 on my poly while the newly bought mojo 2 cannot be connected to it yet

Hi,

I have recenty got a poly and I am playing around with it. I tried reading through the 3d but I am not sure I found a clear answer. Hope you are able to solve my doubts.

I have an iPhone.

I currently either play the flacs on the SD card with Rigelian, or I airplay Apple Music.
Would switching to Tidal bring any sound quality benefit?

Thank you for the help :)

Maybe. Unless it's changed, apple music over airplay is compressed to 256kbs AAC. Tidal would be at 16/48 which is airplay max.
