True but that's not a permanent issue and would get fixed at the earliest it being Google. But we need that feature to be able to stream most music lossless to Poly.

It's still something we are working on. We removed the reference from the manual as it is not currently available.

BubbleUPnP allows for lossless music streaming to Poly and also DLNA playback of music stored on the SD card or another network storage device.
You can also use the Tidal app to share a track or album to BubbleUPnP so it will play to Poly.

Thanks for the reply Matt. I know that BubbleUPnP supports Tidal and Qobuz. I am talking about other international and regional services which I could only stream via Bluetooth now, it's sounding quite decent and I am not denying that but Chromecast audio integration would give the Android users the complete freedom plus it supports 24-bit.

This is an important issue for me and I have to admit it goes a little beyond the scope of my Android knowledge. When I'm out and about I've preferred using Tidal offline for my music source and I would like to use Poly for this. This helps me to discover new music and test drive it while I'm out. From what I've gathered I have 3 options potentially available for offline Tidal playback on Android:

1. AirAudio or similar Android app to stream Tidal offline to Poly using Airplay. The downside of this is it requires root and while my current phone is rooted, future Android phones I purchase may not be easily rootable. This is the method I'm currently using with my LG V10.
2. Bluetooth to stream Tidal to Poly. This works fine but has inferior sound quality.
3. Google Cast which earlier on was indicated to be potentially supported by Poly but now there seems to be some doubt as to this possibility. It also seems that Android capability and features for Poly are a second priority to iOS applications so the timing of Google Cast is unclear.

A 4th option is to ditch Android when I purchase a new phone and get an iPhone.

Have I missed anything with respect to potential options for Tidal offline playback on Poly?

@Matt Bartlett could you please possibly shed some light on how, when and if Google Cast or some other capability will be available for Android to stream Tidal offline to Poly. Thank you.

As an aside I'm really enjoying my Poly both on Roon at home and when I'm out using the method outlined above. The only issue I have with it is that turn on takes between 5 and 10 minutes at current normal room temp of around 15 C. Yes that's a little cooler than I'd like but I live in the mountains in Mexico and this is the cool season and central heating is a luxury most of us don't have....

EDIT: Some additional posts came in while I was writing this.
Re Bubble UPnP my understanding is that Tidal offline music cannot be streamed to Poly, is that correct?

Essentially yes you are correct. Bubble will see and stream your offline library but only if it is connected to the internet so Bubble can connect to the Tidal sever for authentication.

@Matt Bartlett thanks for the reply. Just to clarify this will bubble only use the internet connection for authentication or will it actually need to stream the offline file from Tidal's servers rather than my phone. It was my original understanding that Bubble would only stream my offline library from the Tidal servers which is a killer for me as my 4G data plan would be exhausted very quickly.

Yes correction it does still use data for the streaming.
