Hi @Matt Bartlett - that's not strictly true right now is it? Bubble DLNA playback of local SD card files is broken (or at least it is for me - this is on Android). The stream will consistently bork and stop after 10 minutes or so, with the Poly falling off the network. MPD playback through M.A.L.P is pretty reliable though, with just a few glitches here and there.

Hello Gr8h8m. Does Poly ever drop off the network when using M.A.L.P? I have had good luck in the past with BubbleUPnP and the SD Card. But I am going to let my Poly run on Bubble for a while and see if it is stable. Also you might try rebooting your router to see if UPnP/DLNA use with Poly is more stable.

Hi Chris - no Poly doesn't drop off Network using M.A.L.P - just with Bubble and only when its playing files from its own SD card. Its not a router issue - I've tested this with several routers/networks as well as using phone's (Samsung Note 8) own mobile hotspot.

Have you guys experienced this?

When you want to use wifi on youryphone for browsing ect....can you also connect to Poly via wifi and push Tidal to it?
I was just told yes by electing airplay output on Tidal. I did it and it works.

Hey Android users,

I'm finding I'm getting pretty stable results with a free app called "Hi-Fi Cast" via DLNA.

It shows Poly as a 'Playback' device when connected to the same network as my Galaxy S7 Edge - I'm currently streaming via my phone's SD card on my phone's hotspot.

Somewhat frustratingly, I can't get gapless playback which is my biggest gripe with BubbleUPnP. Even though Hi-Fi cast is able to perform gapless playback, and I've selected 'Enable Gapless Playback via DLNA, it still has a pregnant pause between tracks...which is leading me to think the Poly simply isn't capable of gapless playback via DLNA.

Any other Android users used this, or found a way to get gapless playback/no missed first half-second of each track?

What about Android users??

Good question. I'm hoping the App will fix things for Android users, for me the biggest requirement is to use Bluetooth playback, I really don't want to use Wifi for streaming with this device when mobile, to me DLNA, Airplay etc feel too clunky for mobile use and drains batteries quicker in my experience.

I notice that Poly is £20 cheaper on Amazon UK, how low can it go? :-) I have a price-watch set at a price I'm compared to commit, if it ever triggers I think I will give Poly a try even at current functionality levels.

Can we get an update on this? It's now Thursday afternoon here in Australia...
Matt found a few minor issues with the latest update so the software guys have been going around the loop to sort them. I’m told this is quite a normal thing to happen until it’s all fettled. It is frustrating but it’s got to be as right as we can make it before release. It is very close now though!

It works reliably for me at home and in the office. Not that it should make any difference but what phone and android version do to have?
