I checked on Chord's website this morning given that the day is here now. Their countdown now appears to be a countup with no additional information added yet

Introducing the next generation of portable hi-fi.

Mojo 2 introduces the world’s first lossless DSP technology, a new menu system and USB-C connectivity. Powered by improved battery tech with smart charging, the original pocketable DAC is now better than ever. Go wireless with Poly, too.

So mojo+digital EQ = mojo2?

Not really. It's tonally a more neutral sound sig and more resolution (significantly more taps than Mojo 1).

We don’t need more taps. We need a more robust output stage, galvanized input and to power the dac directly from the wall without going through the battery.

It does have desktop mode now so it will bypass battery in desktop mode

Does the desktop mode change how the output stage works or is biased?

Rob Watts:
“New PGA based battery charger
- Improved desktop mode
- battery is isolated and PSU re-designed to support battery free operation withoutSQ losses
- Improved PS filtering and isolation”

Someone's been reading the threads! I think it is a good step up!

I'm a bit worried about the sound signature. From what I've been reading seems that it is going more towards the Hugo 2 kind of signature but, we'll see.

We will indeed! That worries me a little too, but I preordered and will see…there’s always the DSP for a tasteful warming, I suppose.

PS and improved isolation are generally very beneficial. I will have to find a unit when it gets to my dealer.
