Hi all (awesome site/forums!),
Just pulled the trigger on the HE-500s. Now I need to use the last of my pennies ($200 absolute max) on an amp that will drive them. I'd long since settled on the NFB-12.1 but only <i>after</i> ordering the 'phones did I realise that it has no analog Line In? I see the NFB-16 on the Audio-GD site, but will that be powerful enough? Is there another cheap amp/DAC combo which is essentially an NFB-12.1 with an analog Line In? Portability not required.
Also, what's the cheapest amp (non-DAC) which doesn't insult the HE-500's capabilities, while I scrooge for a Lyr? Cheers!
