CCA C16 has great clarity and separation, and a nice balance. Great dynamics and micro details. Hard to believe it’s under $100 considering the prices even 3-4 years ago for a single or double driver universal.
I got the CCA C16 after being personally slightly disappointed by ZS7 performance. It was all based on expectations. ZS7 are great, but I felt the V-shaped sound signature being too bassy. I use them at work (for hours), and my ears literally starts to hurt after a while.
And then I tried C16. I was instantly amazed by the sound. Fast, tight, deep enough bass that has both good control and attack. Meaty mids with clear voice presentation, with great detail for acoustic music as well. Strings, brass, everything sounds WONDERFUL. And some mature, silky soft highs that complete the sound without nuking my ears as ZS6 did.
After owning tens of IEMs, including 1More Triple Driver, HifiMan RE400i, ZS5v1, ZS6 and many other sub-50$ ones, I finally found a pair on which I can't find any cons.
Pretty nice on how cheap sound quality got in the past years.![]()
