CCA in ear monitors Impressions Thread

CCA C16 has great clarity and separation, and a nice balance. Great dynamics and micro details. Hard to believe it’s under $100 considering the prices even 3-4 years ago for a single or double driver universal.

I got the CCA C16 after being personally slightly disappointed by ZS7 performance. It was all based on expectations. ZS7 are great, but I felt the V-shaped sound signature being too bassy. I use them at work (for hours), and my ears literally starts to hurt after a while.
And then I tried C16. I was instantly amazed by the sound. Fast, tight, deep enough bass that has both good control and attack. Meaty mids with clear voice presentation, with great detail for acoustic music as well. Strings, brass, everything sounds WONDERFUL. And some mature, silky soft highs that complete the sound without nuking my ears as ZS6 did.
After owning tens of IEMs, including 1More Triple Driver, HifiMan RE400i, ZS5v1, ZS6 and many other sub-50$ ones, I finally found a pair on which I can't find any cons.

Pretty nice on how cheap sound quality got in the past years. :L3000:

Just get the CA4 I got one from Amazon for $17 shipped, its worth it for the nice V shape vs the C10 lol

Part of me's kinda' tempted to get a CA4 on the theory that it's like the ZSN but more CCA-ish... but the reason I think that in the first place is because I got the CCA C10 because folks were saying it was like the ZSN but better and I'd probably keep using it over the CA4 anyhow... :p

Clearly projecting as mid centric iem great for classical, jazz and acoustic genres. That's nice and a bold move from CCA. Looks interesting.

retuned with new look kz as10
AS10 has a bit different set of drivers.

Since AS10 and C16 are my favourite IEMs by far, I think I have to order it, while waiting for CCA C20 :)

My dream design of C20 is 16 BAs (along C16 lines) + piezo to accentuate the highs slightly + dedicated DD just for sub-bass kicking in only below ca. 65 Hz :) :)
