You got no idea how excited I'm. I've found my favourite R-2R DAP and a while ago I dreamed of one day having a pure DSD DAP. For the longest, I thought Sony is the closest it will ever be, but with this, now i'm one step closer.

I'm not sure. MPD-8 uses 2 FPGA's, but I don't see many resistors on pcb.

I hope there'll be a player only mode, neutron is great but from experience with dx320 and mango OS, android system + neutron cannot compare in SQ to it

How did you have your Neutron setup? I find it better than Mango mode or Mango Android, uapp or hiby etc

pretty much the recommended settings, OS 16x, 64bit off (tried it with on too, altho iirc @Whitigir did not recommend 64bit), dither, direct source etc.

Then again I'm an EQ/PEQ user so find manufacturers implementations sound poor in comparison.

that's fair, just enabling EQ in mango os makes the sound significantly worse

If this DAP doesn't have android I suppose we could up-sample stuff to DSD on a PC and then store in on a uSD card as DSD but that uses a lot of space, is it possible to lossless compress DSD stuff for playback on a DAP?
