Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

I believe this is not a generic problem and the "white" edge is generic across all electronic with 2.5D screen glass. You won't feel the problem with mobile phone because their temper glass screen protector is curved instead of flat, we are investigating various options to improve the screen protectors right now, we'll report our latest finding and solution later, hopefully within 2 weeks.

Perfect. Looking forward to a better screen protector resolution. Mine also got the white edge. Technically doesn't bother me much since I don't look at the screen while listening, but would be nice if the ugly bubbles just disappear.

My N6ii got quite warm, if not borderlining hot on 4.4 balance after a few hours of use. Does anyone have the same experience?

If it feels warm, then the body’s metal is doing its job as a heat sink.

@Andykong not sure if this is possible to answer yet, but with future motherboards do you plan to retain a warm type sound signature with minor tweaks or can we expect to see drastic changes among different motherboards?

To quote @twister6 "You can use it with brighter headphones". I've got N6ii->T5p2 on my head at the moment and it sounds very balanced. Certainly not over warm or bright.

Editing my OP as to leave it more generic :)

I'm certainly looking forward to future audio boards too. I'm really enjoying this DAP I haven't found anything to criticise it for yet with my use case.

I still can't get over how good it is with the Shure SE846, there is something about these two together that really gets the best out of both of them.

What files are you playing (flac, dsd, etc?), what headphones are you using (and at what gain, volume level)?

How does this compare to the DX220 coming from a QP1R. I am looking at a QP2R too.

Sounds like your goal is to buy five daps by the end of the year.

A combination of DSD128 and FLAC 96/24. I have been using it mainly with my andromeda on mid gain.
