have you tried it? honestly r2r2000 ui is fine for me so im sure p6 pro will be fine. just wondering if cayin would ever get to that level

The P6 Pro? Yes. I didn’t buy one because the UI is that poor. I have tried the N6ii before. No complaints software wise there.

I was circling an N6ii purchase and the announcement of the R01 just sealed it for me. Time to sell off some gear that's been collecting dust!

Cayin entered R2R, great. Tempted but I will wait for the Cayin N9.
I've got the R2R fever, once you hear jt, you can't unhear it.
I still prefer DSD, but too much hard work and PCM is so much easier and more accessible.

Well done Cayin!

Been enjoying my N6ii with E01 + FiR Audio M5 and on a hiatus from Head-Fi for a while... then R01 pique my interest to jump back in.

As this is the "final" motherboard for N6ii and Cayin has been putting in considerable effort into making it a success, I hope to listen to it soon and hopefully have one in my collection!

Actually I don't see why one couldn't use it even in 2025 and beyond.
On the Desktop side of hifi, 5 years or even a decade of useage isn't rare.

Biggest Problem with DAPs will be the battery life after a few years of usage

yeah battery is the biggest problem beside android version, I'm glad that i know a technician that able to repair / change daps batteries in my country, rather then sending back to mainland that cost a lot for shipping. my 1st daps is ipod photos that i used almost everyday in about 17 years, and the battery just went down.
