Cayin N6ii, Unlimited Possibilities: a fully modularized smart DAP

I never could’t play DSD files on N6ii using UAPP, starting from installing this app on player. Cayin player working with DSD without any problems at all.
I never had any problems either......until this update which is 5.6.0. It was fine for all previous versions. I'm on T01 module. Let me change to E01 or 2 to see if it's module problems

OMG!!! Just tested E01 and E02 and UAPP works fine on DSD!!! Can someone with T01 confirm that after the latest UAPP update DSD won't play? This is so weird. Why only T01?????

Am I the only one that regrets buying E02 ? T01 sounds tons better for me ... E02 piercing highs :frowning2: Is there a way to tame them somehow?

Strange for me t01 has more piercing treble than e02 lol you sure your not confusing things around?

Dear Andy,

I've just shot an email to UAPP support as follows:

"Dear Davy,

I have just updated your UAPP to version 5.6.0 on Cayin N6MKII using module T01. After the update whenever I play a DSD/DSF file there was just hissing noise. All other files played fine.
As I owned all the modules I tried playing the same DSD files on module A01, E01 and E02 and they all play fine on these three modules. Can you find out why T01 is different and will there be an update to correct the situation?

Regards,"

Can you shed some light on this as well? How is T01 different from the others?

I just ran about an hour switching between T01 and E02 ... on LCD-XC. I found I that ... I just can't stand to E02 piercing highs :frowning2: damn those money wasted. T01 tons better for me. The battery depletes much faster, though.

I hope I can get used to it ...

I’m just reading people’s impressions, but that is the first time I’ve heard someone say that the E02 has piercing highs. Sorry it’s not to your liking.

It's strange, maybe I adapt, but after 20-30 minutes this is no longer the case and is bearable. No idea what's going on :frowning2:
Have you burned it in for a good amount of time? I believe some people here had it running for 200 hours before starting to listen.

It might be that E02 just doesn’t have good synergy with your headphone. Same case with my M5, treble is elevated and bass is reduced. However, my other IEMs sound better with E02, it actually tames Z1R’s treble, increases the mids and gives more impact to the bass.
