I think that is pretty much intentional, most makers seem to want the Flagship to stand alone at the top rather than looking like an incremental upgrade.

I would be surprised if it was intentional. If you look at it from a price perspective there is a huge difference between the N5 at £400 and the N8 at £2,500. I think that gap goes well beyond wanting your flagship to stand alone. I wouldn’t surprised if they didn’t intend, at some stage in the near future, to release something in the £700 to £1,000 price range.

Yep that was early N8 design I was just having a giggle. I prefer the look of it to the 2 they have released though.

Yeah, in the form of the N6ii. Competing with the DX200 range of daps.

A jump from mid-fi to TOTL is waay too big to be intentional. They'd be cutting themselves off from a large portion of the market which wouldn't make sense.

It looks really nice. I hope it has some of the N8 magic. The N8 is the best dap I have ever listened to. Unfortunately, my wallet is less keen on it.

Let’s hope the specs justfiy the price. The screen looks decent, though. Given the current daps out there 3 gb of ram will be a must!

I'd far rather they put a faster processor with 2gb or ram rather than using a slower processor and have 3gb of ram.

That and 2 microsd slots
