Received my review unit. Just got time pairing n6ii with my M9 currently. Im using widebore hifiman tips on my M9 and n6ii nailed the warm musical way. More listening coming. Love how lush this one is

Ha , read by? It is not more brighter than the A01. Its actually more analog sounding , has more depth than the A01. The A01 for me sounded a tad more open , brighter while bassy.
Had about 20 hours on the T01 and I'm preferring it to the A01. Its like plugging a Cowon Plenue S in your N6ii

That means nothing to those of us who have never heard a Cowon Plenue S.

I remembered someone said the T01 sounds like the popular SQ of original N6?

I found changing the motherboard very easy, and out of the box the T-01 on the F7 has definitely a lot more sub bass with a leaner mid bass than A-01 and the upper treble presence is significantly boosted over A-01. Clarity and transparency is greater, probably a benefit of significantly more upper treble presence. Mids are more balanced, aiming for reference and significantly thinner. Stil very musical although my preference would naturally be A-01 I must say T-01 is quite exciting and I could see myself getting one...
I’ll check out how things evolve during burn in though, I guess motherboard need it. Right now bass and treble dominate the signature or maybe it’s that I have gotten used to A-01 so much.
I’ll try to play with the filters right now on FIR-1 with Slow Roll off.

the N6ii A01 w my Legend X was one of my favorite pairings with that IEM, however I didn’t like it with my A18t at all

I think a more natural or neutral sounding dap may work better with my IEMs.

yes sorry, A01 with Legend X was the best I had heard with them (I no longer own them now), I didn’t like A01 with A18t.

unfortunately I’ve never heard the A12t so I have no idea, but A01 w LX is superb. Maybe buy T01 too and get the best of both worlds?
Excellent info on the T01. Thanks for sharing. How much brighter is the T01 than the A01?
