By the way, how long did you own your N8 DAP? 5 years by now?

I bought my first one shortly after it came out, in 2019. Sold it and then bought it again since I was missing it a lot. Just really enjoy it as a whole…I’ll never sell it again!

An interesting detail is that the N30LE seems to have no Oversampling in the DAC section.

As I am testing the N7 and find it really strong, and read about an N3, I thought the following.
Wow to see the N3 finally wifi enabled with tube connectivity that's the dap you want when you don't want the big setup.

Now the N30LE seems to be completely different from what I thought it could be.
Definitely not an N3 Pro or N3 Anniversery edition or anything with the Dna in it.
It seems more like a prototype that is limited.
Kinda cool, even if my dream just got shattered.

The N30Le is also out of my budget range.
I'm happy for those who have the money and want to buy it.

I hope that at some point a wifi enabled N3 Pro will come out that will continue to run on tubes.
I would like to hear something like that.

You know what I adore and always adored about cayin they are affordable, and give the best value for price , like the n6ii and the ru7, even the n8ii all these I own and love, but going through the specs and checking I don’t see anything special , not something worth 1500$ more then my n8ii…

I mean 650g is like 1.5 weight of the n8ii, so what’s going on? It’s really heavy stuff, also nothing special I see in the power or anything yeah a new Dac, new tube mode, hyper mode but 5000 usd for what ?? I honestly don’t see it

The digital audio section of N30LE is designed around the AKM AK4499EQ, a 32-Bit multi-bit delta-sigma DAC chipset.

The digital audio section of N7 is a purposively built discrete resistor ladder with pure 1-Bit delta-sigma DAC decoding capability.

Can you give us more information about the IEM UM Amber Pearl? For example: is it a special edition of Red Halo FE? Mason FS? Mentor? Will it be possible to buy it separately?

I'll get onto this within this week. In short, the UM Amber Pearl is a 12xBA (4BA for bass, 2BA for mid, 2BA for mid-treble, 4BA for treble) + 2x EST + 1x BCD, 6-way crossover.

For those who are curious about the Cayin x UM Amber Pearl IEMs, here is a little introduction: It is a 15-driver tribrid IEM--4BA Bass, 2BA mid, 2BA upper-mid,4BA Treble, 2 Electrostatic Ultra-High, 1 Full Frequency 3rd Gen FreqShift Bone Conduction. Stabilized Cholla High Precision CNC shells.

It has different driver counts and configurations than the Mason Red Halo and La Jardin.

A little sad to see that N8ii could have been AKM DAC + dual Nutube already if it weren't for the fire

We are more than sad in that instance.

We suffered 5-month delays in the N8ii rollout schedule, and significant cash flow lockup because our supply chain has sourced all the components we need to start our first production batch.

The AKM fire is a tragedy, we are glad that no employees were injured.

The N30LE will debut at HKAV show on 11th August 2023, which is only 60 hours away. If we don't have any impression at the end of the show, I'll share my thoughts.

By the way, anyone will attend the CanJam London (~10 days away)?
