My sons N3 arrived yesterday. He is very pleased with it. I also had a play and think it is great value.

Also had issue that I couldn't get custom eq to work.

My son also had a strange issue when he was browsing folders that one folder appeared on the screen multiple times (about 8 or more). I couldn't replicate the issue though.

Couldn't get custom EQ to work? Does it mean the sound won't change when you fiddle around the settings in Custom EQ? or you can't control the adjustment at certain frequency band?

Sound doesn't change when I fiddle around with eq although sliders do move.
I'll try and have more of a play later and see if I can narrow things down a bit, but as per my later post, could be caused by the volume being changed by myself whilst in the middle of modifying eq.

I'm on my way to work bit I will get a picture tonight. I have a bit of a weird version in Sapele wood, I don't think they use it anymore. I'm not going to claim it sounds as good as when I use it with my Violectric DAC and amp but it really does sound good with a nice soundstage! With the volume maxed it's actually a bit too loud for me.

Really looking forward to your photo. I enjoy T50RP mod cans and Alpha Dog is my preferred closed back headphone, but it sounds a bit "congested" with N3, that's why I asked about the soundstage of N3 with Vibro II.

Looks like I'm not the only one with the EQ issue...

I have marked the bug earlier on, but it won't be ready until the second round of firmware update, we put the priority on ReplayGain and will follow up with this EQ bug after that.

We'll add two themes in next firmware, they are supposed to be more readable, if these doesn't work fine, we'll implement a special large font theme as the last resort, but this option probably will lead to something that is not so aesthetics.

I believe it will be an ON/Off control in music setup page, can't be sure until next week when I get to try it out myself.

Yes I guess a larger font could ruin the aesthetics if the there was not specifically designed for a larger font. Fiio did make a large font option for the X3ii and it seemed fine.

  My N3 is in transit. I just feel that this is an obvious fix. AND...I ordered the Cyan. I am a man and I ordered Cyan. Own it!

I am a man & I ordered cyan too. I am getting mine today. I've always had black smartphones and DAPs and I thought I should have something that looks fun and different.And if I don't like cyan or if it draws too much attention, I can always get the black silicone case (when it becomes available).
