I bought some Trinity Master 4 earphones. The sound is really awful now, huge bass and just dull. No life to it at all.

It could be I'm using the earphones incorrectly regards fitting in my ear, as I'm used to the Shure and how they fit but they are comfortable so might just as easily be fitted ok and just not to my liking.

Ask in the right places before you buy, bro. You might've been steered towards a more appropriate IEM for your taste. Certainly not the N3's fault :p

Have you tried listening on a good pair of over ears? Give the B&W P7, Oppo PM-3, Seenheiser Momentum, or the Denons a go. If you prefer more open, airy sound with less bass try and open can. You don't have to buy, take the N3 to a decent store that has in-store demos and spend some time there. Nothing worse than trying to get good sound out of crap headphones.

I sent you a PM last Sunday asking for suggestions, as you invited but you didn't reply.

I haven't suggested this is a problem with the N3, I was also hoping to confirm the lack of smoothness that bothers me is the Shure earphones and not the N3, but I can't establish that with these Trinity earphones.

I can try that but the variety of headphones available on demo near me is very limited. It will help me with the N3 though, so is a good thing.

I just had 20 minutes of hell on earth the G.U.I edition.

Navigation was so horrible i almost lost my gdam mind.

WHAT??

Come on here...check 1st post and noted the 2nd set on touch controls under the ones on top. I was leaving the screen cover on as a courtesy but it caused me not to see the other cap buttons and getting pulled in and out of menus like a sick mind game.

Everything is fine now.:notes:

There is a small sensor or pin hole on the bottom left of screen. What is that?

So far I've only noticed that with one track, Ice Cube's "Today Was a Good Day," where the pitch/tempo changes within the track from faster at the beginning to slower when the verses begin. This does not happen when I play through my computer.
Could you please change another TF cards to see what happens?

I haven't been on the forum for a while but what a lovely surprise to discover that a new firmware 1.2 has been released...which I have installed on my N3 successfully.

Hey guys - busy testing the N3 throughout this week and next. Just hit a roadblock: how do I get lyrics to show up during playback? Currently only using flac files, and used Meta to input the lyrics into a few tracks, but they don't show up on the N3 despite setting the Lyric switch to 'ON' on Music Settings. Any ideas how this feature is supposed to work (and which file formats it supports)? Thx.
You can download the lyric and change its name into the same as its song, then put them in the same folder. You can get the lyrics show up automatically.

Hmm, never used lrc files in my life. Would be cool if the N3 manual gave us a hint on how the Lyric function is supposed to work. Anyone else tried this with any success? (PS. already figured out that adding a cover.jpg or folder.jpg image to a music folder works for cover art, as well as embedded cover art in the file tag. Not sure why lyrics should be any different).

For the more technical among you: is there any disadvantage I choosing High Gain over Medium or Low? I prefer listening to music quite loud (not for extended periods, I know the dangers), but don't like to crank up the volume to 80 or 90 (which for some recordings I need to do on Medium Gain to drive my P7s to the levels I like). If I switch to High Gain I can leave the volume at 50 or 60 for the same recordings, but does that cost me any signal noise through the extra amplification?
