Could anybody suggest me a 256 GB microsd which has experienced to work flawlessly with i5, maybe also using it to save music downloaded by streaming app as Spotify?
If I remember it right, only Sandisk and Samsung has released 256GB TF card, and they only have one 256GB model under each brand.
We have tested Sandisk 256GB, works alright, works alright during our test but Spotify is not on our testing list
Is it really important to have 256GB? The Sandisk 200GB is frequently discounted on Amazon, you can buy THREE 200GB cards at the price of one 256GB card if you buy at the right time:
These are the price that I noted on Amazon (US and UK) two days ago:
My suggestion is to use the TF card slot with maximum flexibility. Please do not treat the TF card slot as an internal memory, the good things about having a slot is to swap (almost hot-plugable) TF cards anytime you want. If you organize your music folders in advance, it would be easy enough to put your music on 2-3 cards and still be able to find them effectively.
Another option is to increase the total capacity of the DAP is by taking advantage of the OTG feature of i5. There are several feasible options:
OTG flash drive:

I am tempted to buy this flash drive when I find try to find an example for this discussion. $40 for 128GB OTG Type C memory at USB3.1 performance, and its a dual head design so I can plug it into any computer, copy music files, and then plug into the i5 immediately.
OTG Card Reader:
You can add second TF card to the DAP, or if you don't mind the extra size, you can even add a full size SD card to the DAP.
OTG SSD:
Ultimately you can mount a SSD to the i5 OTG port, be reminded that the Type C output of i5 is limited, a Hong Kong users had tested and confirmed m.2 2280 ssd is workable with i5.

OTG USB A Adapter
This is a low cost solution, you can add any USB memory to the i5 as long as it won't exceed the power supply limit. The quickest option will be adding USB thumb drive as they should always fall within the power limit.
