hehehe, thx!

sure mate, feel free to do whatever you need to do with the review.

I'm an Audiophile by hobby, since I like listening to music so much since I think it helps me personally, so not very interested in technicalities and hardware or something like that, just enjoy the music.

I hope the review helps people in similar position as me.

Sure helpful to music lovers who are looking for a DAP to enjoy their music. i5 is a very versatile player and it can fit into different customer group, that's why user opinions from different perspective is important.

If it cannot handle the ER4S would it be able to handle the new ER4XR?

The ER4XR is a much easier load, I have tested this combo at RMAF, the i5 can handle it alright.

Hi guys, I've encountered a bug while I was playing music via bluetooth for the first time. When you pause a song for a while and start playing it again the sound will stutter badly. Has anyone else experienced this too?
Thank you in advance.

I have experienced the issue with BT in several devices or combinations. I think that sometimes it has to do with the sleep pattern from these devices to save battery after long time on standby. Also found that depends on the BT radio they seem to be sensitive to certain frequency and interferences from these.
Not saying that is the issue with your case, just an experience

Can someone do me a favour and try the android app "Listen Audiobook Player" and see how it runs on the i5 please?

Been trying for a long while now to decide on a new player.

Two things that are most important to me are a)gapless playback and b)bookmarking for audiobooks.  I would say that listening time is split 50-50 between music and audiobook files.  As such the ability to remember where the last position played on the file is very important, particularly on longer stories.

Thanks

Yeah I was also thinking about something related to the sleep pattern... Weird.

I have used the W50 with the Cayin i5. They feel dark, but I use them for dark music :)

You talk about a portable easy to take with you. In this combo I do use the DDS DP 1 Amp because it gives the additional plus it is very small

Yeah, W50 (Westone, I assume?) is too dark/bassy to begin with.  Might not be the best pair up with i5.

I have my Cayin i5 coming later this week to replace the iBasso DX50. Looking forward to it.

Can anyone recommend a non-Leather case? Any casing of some sort would do.
