former, we didn't create a dedicated signal path for Pre-amp input. There isn't enough space to facilitate a redundant signal path. The as-is circuitry complexity of C9 is already a big nightmare for analog engineering.
And it arrived... That was an easy and very worthwhile upgrade... The hum has gone and there's a very audible upgrade in SQ as bonus.. And build quality is stellar...
Out of curiosity, does anyone know whether these battery duration indications are based on Line or PRE-Amp usage? I was wondering since in PRE-Amp mode the C9 operates at full power whereas in Line mode the C9 output is variable, correct?

I was wondering because I seem to be getting ultrashort charge times (to full, way shorter than 3h, Anker PD Atom 4 charger) and yet almost equal run times (Class A / Tube in PRE mode, Batteries used ORB3500)
So the specs in the table (for me) seemed conservative
Thanks. The KGUSS comes a bit closer, and another KGUSS model indeed already made it to the backup list . But ideally I would like to have a fit as snug as the NFJ one on Amazon.jp
@Andykong Today my C9 power button refuses to stay activated. When I press it, it lights up, I hear the click of the amp and the light stops blinking. But despite of the click and the light staying on, the C9 switches off again when I let go of the button. Batteries are full.
When I keep the C9 power button pressed the amp works fine, both in Line and in Pre mode, Nutubes also power on correctly. Yet the power button does not want to stay active. It that somehow the protective mode of the battery module interfering?
