Maybe the Ara is not the same as Andromeda Gold , different tuning or not the same 5 ba as Andromeda . Cause of the different name . Time will tell .

Per the translated post "The latest model that joined the family is called Ara [...] features seven balanced armature drivers, very similar to the Andromeda, but it features two additional bass drivers." Sounds extremely similar to Andro Gold, but we will see.

I'm all for the fine tuning of their most sought after products. Much like Porsche, refinements year after year leading to a nearly perfect product.

The issue I have is with the frequency of said refinements. Every few months with another Super duper special edition feels money grabbish and doesn't serve the owners of the previous special editions.

That being said a significantly smaller Solaris is a great thing. It may allow for a better seal which I think is the main reason I think there were complaints about the bass. That along with a discreet black look is a winner in my eyes.

1. Andromeda 2020: Ceramic chamber from Solaris SE, retuned to add some "musicality & punch"
2. Solaris 2020: Ceramic chamber from Solaris SE, reduced in size
3. Ara: Ceramic chamber from Solaris SE, Andromeda + 2 BA for bass (non-limited Andromeda AG or MW10?)

Guess we got to wait and see if there are any other changes.

yes i agree, srsly cant wait for the Solaris impressions, hopefully some comparisons to current kings (Z1R, VE8, Legend X, etc)....

Never try Andro V1, Iceberg ck, MW10, Copper, Solstice (obviously..)...
IMHO, same sound sig, different a little tweak...but Andro V2 and Jupiter was my gate opener to Solaris OG.. Love it...
