The Solaris certainly knows how to show off for the camera, that's for sure. It looks great from any angle.

Quick, someone Jedi mind trick me and tell me this isn't the hybrid I'm looking for!

It looks awesome. I can't wait for reviews to come in. I've been loving my Atlas so I look forward to hearing some comparisons

Id love to hear it for myself too!

Is it bad that I'm already considering this one after buying the Atlas 3 weeks ago? Haha

Well I guess If the CA Solaris page is live and its 20 minutes to go time... is close enough.

Please tell me you got the boys back in the lab churning out the squiggly lines as we speak.

I hope not  because as Ken pointed out - it needs at least 5 days of burn in due to sound changes... Waiting today for FedEx delivery, to start playing with these guys :) Btw, I'm still puzzled where that Japanese distributor got their spec from, the one they shared and got everything wrong from a number of driver to cable wires.

From my blog post:

“· Available Friday, October 26th in the US

· Available worldwide and in-store beginning December”

What does "in-store" mean? Is there a brick-and-mortar Alo Audio store? (Or... just other distributors?)

Oh dear god don't say the B-word in here, I only just got back from another almost heated back-and-forth on that topic

(That said, burn-in shouldn't show up too much on measurements I'll bet. 1.5dBs at most based off my experiments)

The driver count is indeed wrong but at least they gave us a few days heads up on it being a hybrid model and they were also correct in stating that the wire is silver litz plated copper.
