Campfire - Solaris

I demoed Equinox, the custom version of Atlas, and found the bass overwhelming. According to Campfire Equinox should have flatter response than Atlas and better treble extension. But i found the opposite. All i can say is burn in really make a difference for a dd driver. I used Vega in the past and played for more than 1000 hours, it's really not the same beast u demoed with limited hour count, so is Atlas.

I've found that custom versions of IEMs generally have increased bass (b/c of improved seal), so depending on how much Campfire compensated for that, and depending on how good the individual's fit for both the custom and universal IEMs is, there could very well be differing opinions on bass quantity.

Yes, i found it too. Yet i use custom eartip of my Atlas to put it on Equinox the universal demo, and Equinox is not supposed to insert into ear canal, that may be another cause.
But neither way, the supposed better treble sparkle doesn't shine when i tried it, i suspect it may still be related to the burn in issue.

There are somebody here use Pure silver from LUNAshop if I am not mistaken..

This must be a plan to ease the bass a tiny bit.

Just pulled the trigger on the Solaris.
Should be listening on Monday. Anyone have a plan of attack for burn-in, maybe some tracks to share? I’ve read accounts here of too much bass in the burn-in process.

I am pairing with the A&K sr15. Is anyone using this setup?

I am using AK sp1000 or my old AK300. It sounds great out of either of them. For burn in you can run some pink noise through them. I just plugged them into my idsd black label and let it run with my library on my mac. I did this for five days while I was at work.

So who's using what cable for the Solaris? I'm looking for a 4.4mm cable but not the overpriced ALO variety.
I am using 2 different cables for my Solaris. Recently got this cable.

Love both of these cables. Both are extreme bang for buck cables. You can choose 4.4mm for the lunashops cable. Either way I feel both are worth the money spent. I currently have that crystal copper SPC 8 core cable on my Solaris and it brings even better dimensions/ dynamics to the sound. Silver brings out better micro details wider stage better clarity. A bit more analytical take on the Solaris. If you want more bass impact go with the crystal copper SPC cable. A bit more musical take on the Solaris. I switch up cables depending on my mood.

Is anyone else pairing solaris with sp1000? I was wondering what vume output you run it at. With most music I find that on balanced I can listen from 10 to 20 out of 150. It is even listenable at a setting of 1.

With 2.5 balanced on my sp1000m, I just turn the volume to 20

Anyone have hiss when using the 2.5 balanced on sp1000m? I got some hiss when start playing and after a pause, about 0.5 seconds after that hiss was disappeared.

Yes, l am using an ALO 2.5mm balanced with my Solaris (and Andromeda s) with my sp1000m and I have the same experience, moreso with Solaris.
I have the same experience with Solaris with my 1z with 4.4mm balanced.

With the sp1000cu I do not notice any hiss out of the 2.5mm output.

Checked my settings, I had vinyl on, much better in terms of hiss with it off, but still very low level hiss in low gain for me (using CA 4.4mm balanced cable). Once music starts I don't notice anything.

Yup, it is a very low hiss, I feel still hear that hiss when the music is playing. When I listen with ifi iematch I didn't feel that
