I just bought the Andro2020 and feel greatly impressed and disappointed at the same time. Its sounds great, but turn out my unit (right ear piece) is faulty.

After a brief period of listening session, I noticed that the sound coming from the right ear piece (especially in the mid, low regions) are having this weird buzzing noise. Through a very thorough testing with different equipment. I have concluded (with the help of the guys at my local audio shop) that one of the driver(s) in the right earpiece is literally loose and are shaking, somehow. The buzzing/rumbling would stop if i put a bit of pressure to the backplate, first kilobuck iem and my luck already go to S**t. Luckily this also surprised the guy at the local audio shop and they are already contacting CA for warranty.
Unfortunately, even IEM's in the kilobuck range are subject to faults and QC issues. It's simply unavoidable. The good news is that Campfire Audio provide excellent customer service, and will certainly get your faulty IEM fixed. Hopefully the wait isnt too long!

Upon further checking, I also found that the suspected faulty right piece also have the faceplate miss-aligned. Yeah, these are going back to CA for warranty. Not sure if this is directly cause the buzzing/rumbling noise though, hindsight is 20/20.

Hopefully ! The shop i bought my Andro is one of the 2 official CA dealers in Vietnam so the warranty process should be quick and hassle-free.

That's great to hear. An issue like this is extremely rare considering Campfire's normal QC. They'll get you sorted in no time!

I wish CA would come up with a new version of the Comet, its nice to have an iem which you don’t have to route over your ears etc.

I also really loved the Etymotic-like low profile :)

If only there was the opportunity to get another run on the MW10. What’s this new Andromeda?

Man... i remember being so floored when i tried out the og andro back in 2017. Recently someone offered an andro v2 as a trade+cash deal so i took it out of my fond memories back in 2017 (i did have another go with a v3 andro back in 2019 but at that time i was more impressed with the atlas than it). But im sad to say that the andros arent as good as i remembered them being... theres a bit of smearing in the imaging (though i love the bass on them which is weird since bass was the last thing i praised on the 2 other andros ive tried). Treble is good but there is a bit of sibilance (im using spirals on them to remove the nasty resonance i kept on hearing). Mids were for the most part magical (only excemptions are poorly mastered tracks or old songs from the 70s or so). Staging is good but ive heard wider with k3003 still being the king in my book.

Edit: had to reorganize my thoughts since my og post was cluttered with all sorts of random stuff being attached.

Right now they are known as Andromeda Square, Andromeda Circle, Andromeda Diamond and Andromeda Triangle.

... Andromeda moniker added by me, none of them are officialy named as of now. Only known under shapes mentioned above. Some beta IEMs were shown at the Tokyo Show, according to CA IG and @ExpatinJapan
