I know the CA symbol is supposed to be vertical, let me play around with it. Thanks!

It's the Comply tS-400Which comply tips ? type ?
have to admit, the tip I am using daily is from my Silicon TFZ IEM.. Big Bore, not making my ear canal itchy... no coloring in SQ, IMO...

Nope, just the app. To be honest, I am very curious to know how it manages to do it and why other apps (or even hi-end DAPs) are so much worse in this regard. Easy answer would be that UAPP uses some sort of noise filter that inevitably reduces SQ, but 1) I use it in Bit Perfect mode, and 2) the sound is uncompromised (at least to my ears) so I have no idea... until I find some time to look into it, I will remain blissfully ignorant.![]()
Was wondering about the wonder Non hiss using UAPP, I do a test on my own.
parameter :
DAP : X5iii 3rd Gen (bonus : Stack with Mont blanc)
IEM : Solaris with Ref8 cable
Apps to compare Fiio Pure music, UAPP and Spotify
Song : XXXTentacion - Skin Flac 44kHz 16 bits 735kbps, and spotify
Spotify : get premium first and download, streaming SQ is not stable. 320 kbps. Impression : hmm. spotify quality, I can only said that... the sparks and detail is OK... Noticable Hiss. Still my daily music listening source..
Flacs with UAPP : no Hiss, increase soundstage, imaging, resolution, high get more detail. Unfortunately the MQA not support for the flac song...
Flacs with Fiio Pure Music : noticable Hiss (better than Spotify). Soundstage is more with Pure Music... Imaging, resolution etc is similar with UAPP.
Bonus : Hiss can be neglect able if pair/stack with Amp Mont Blanc...
so my impression conclusion is UAPP is great option for mobile purpose, easy carry (no stack). but with compensation I notices is soundstage..
I found using super litz cable can increase the soundstage but detail will be decrease compare to ref8...
Well just sharing my thoughts here.. sorry if OTT
Why choosing that song.... I like it, for now.... so why not compare something that u like.

Ughhhh..... This hobby keeps bleeding me dry. Just got a pair of Jupiter’s a month ago and I loved them so much I pulled the trigger on an Andro S just now. Can’t wait to give them a listen, maybe they can be my endgame (lol, I’ve said that at least 10 times in the last decade.

Yeah I’m pretty stoked. I’d been kicking around getting a second hand Andro for a few weeks and came across a sale at a retailer up here in Canada for an open box S for $1099CAD ($805USD). Before I could stop myself I had finished the checkout, lol.
I didn’t take the pic for my avatar, just found it on Google Image search.
I've been rocking the andro SS for about a month and I love them, but they are SO dynamic I find that I get fatigued after a few hours. It's like "enough, already"! Fortunately I recently traded my SE846 for a pair of Beyerdynamic Xelentos, and they are the perfect antidote! Smooth and cool sound with lots of sub bass and rumble. When I get fatigued by the andro SS I put the Xelentos in and I can go another few hours listening to music.Yeah I’m pretty stoked. Hi, does anyone experience the "electric shock" problem?
I charge my laptop using a usb-c charger. When I plug my andros into the laptop, my ears get an electric shock. Same as when I charge my S9+ phone with the laptop charger and plug the andros in, I get electrocuted too. Because of this, I cannot listen to the Andros while I am charging.

This is just such an incredible IEM. I honestly don’t see it getting better than this.

This is completely normal. It happens on my Andros and orion, also the final f7200 and e5000, hence it's a problem of metal housing iems
Anyone got any recommendation for a high end DAP (and if worth it balanced cable) to pair my Andromeda with?
I would like my DAP to allow for playing my local collection but also spotify (as I discover music on there very often).
As A&K now allow side loading with their new models, they seem like a good competitor.
However I don't want hissing as I often also listen to very relaxing / chill music where noticeable hiss will bother me.
I'm willing to shell out a max of around 2K for the DAP and let's say a max of 300 for the cable I'd say.
I have to say I don't dislike the standard litz cable but I'm not such a fan of the memory wire. I prefer a more loose cable I think
Anyone got any suggestions?
(In terms of genres, I listen to almost any genre from rock, metal to jazz, blues, folk, singer song writer and even some EDM. I just don't listen very often to rap so don't need a boombox
)
