Really liked the tuning!

Same bottom-line 4-star rating as I gave the Novas in my own review. And well-deserved too, the Novas are a wonderful pair of mid-tier IEMs.

Great review! I'm wondering what did you use to stretch the Shure olives core? I spend a couple of hours yesterday without any luck, the core is so hard and I'm close to destroying the olive tips. :/

Very nice review.  I agree for the most part with regard to your impressions on bass, mid range and treble. I personally do not think the bass is too much.  I think it is just right for me. I particularly like the separation of the sub bass and the mid bass and the fact they do not bleed or muddy into the mid range is very important to me. In that regard, I think the sound separation actually runs throughout the whole freq range and not just in the bass department.  I also do not think the sound is "warm and smooth". It is very well balance and smooth.  Very transparent with air.  These may just be my preferences.  I really like the Andro and it is on top of my list for iems now. Thank you.

I agree with you too, I think the reviewer must have been using the Mojo (0 output impedance) for the impressions of too much bass, as with near zero OI I think there is a bit too much as well. On my iPhone 6S Plus (~3 OI)  it sounds about perfect.

I'm back to report my findings with new impedance adapters. Over the past few weeks I have been using the 75ohm adapter, and while it really brings out the energy and details that I thought were lacking with the original sound signature out of the iPhone 6 HO, it thinned the bass out a little too much for my liking and the treble was a little too peaky, sometimes reaching screechiness and sibilance.
 
I just received a 22ohm adapter from the same vendor on eBay and am happy to say that this is a great compromise between the iP6HO and the 75ohm adapter.
 
Compared to the 75ohm, I would say the main benefits have been preserved:

1. PRaT, imaging, details, sparkle and energy of the mid-highs
2. Maintains original great qualities such as timbre

 
Having said that, while the 75ohm might have rendered ~10% of my recordings sibilant, the 22ohm is slightly less aggressive in the treble, sounding sibilant only with the occasional 1%. Also, like the 75ohm, the bass becomes thinner, but not to the same extent.
 
I simply can't go back to listening to the Andromedas right out of the iP6. It sounds veiled and even muddy in comparison. Give it a go, it's only US$18.

That's good to hear...I have a 20 ohm adapter coming from Penon. I'm hoping that's enough to lift them just out of the noise floor on the Mojo and lighten up the bass a tad.
