Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

I have gotten a pair of Moondrop Blessing 2 today. At a price of USD$329, they are probably the only legitimate "Andromeda killer" out there. The sound quality is on the same level for 1/3 the price! They are too good to be true.

The ergnomics are wayyy better as they give a custom like fit. Whereas it is difficult to get a good seal with the andromedas unless you have the right eartips due to the shape.

The tonality is better and more balanced, the bass goes lower and sounds better because it is DD bass. But surprisingly, the bass quantity isn't much higher than the andros as I had expected. The soundstage is wide too like the andros. I'd say that these have a balanced, technical tuning whereas the andros are tuned for fun.

These give the andros a serious run for their money! For 1/3 the price no less

Different tuning, less coherent by design, less precise layering, much larger than Andromeda and some users complaining about the poor fit, etc. what does your post have to contribute to this thread 🙄

Yeah, I had the Blessing 2 and I would not say they are an Andromeda killer by any stretch. I found them rather boring and the bass did not seem to have any benefits over a BA bass. But we all hear differently and have our own preferences. Glad you found something you like so much.

After all this time the Andromeda remains the de facto IEM to beat for many...that's pretty impressive. Quite honestly if there ever does emerge an "Andro killer" for <$1k then it will be killing much of the market south of $3k along with it.

Hello everyone, I want to say that I have always been interested in Campfire audio because it is really very cool to watch them because of their approach to sound, I personally owned the classic Andromeda v2 and these were my first headphones from the "top" segment. And I was really shocked that the sound can be detailed and not cut, emotional and with a huge stage) Now I am fond of motion design and decided to practice and do something for the soul) Here are a couple of scenes that will howl in the final video:

I've had the Andromeda V3/ Cardas Clear Light (1960) for almost a week now and at first I wasn't super impressed compared to the Solaris 2020 but knew that I would need some time to adjust so I put the Solaris on the shelf and listened only I to the Andromeda. At first the Andromeda almost seemed "veiled" next to the Solaris.
Today I wanted to do a quick comparison and listened to the Andromeda then the Solaris on a solo piano piece. The Solaris has an edge on clarity and definition but literally an "edge". The Andromeda is smoother. (maybe that's partly the cable) The Solaris has a bit better holographic imaging but the soundstage on the Andromeda, though slightly less "engaging" is actually seemingly wider. The spatial cues out at the fringes aren't as defined as in the Solaris and I think that that gives them a bit of a sense of being further away.
If I only listened to solo piano I might say I actually prefer the Andromeda.
At the moment it's not really "more" though and just different and I suspect that if I went back to the Solaris for a week I would probably learn to hear them as "better".
That said.. they are both excellent and I am enjoying them immensely.
The Andromeda with the Clear Light cable and Spiral Dots++ tips is the most comfortable set up I've ever had though.. They just disappear in my ears.

We should have an OG vs 2020 Andromeda compare session. (I'd like to hear the 2020 Solaris again too.)
