Nice enough to take a G note from me so I can have a listen to his Andromedas. He is sneeky like that.

If you really want sub-bass you need the Vega or Atlas as it will go deeper.

Yes I agree, I did spend some time with these IEM's as well and the bass was what I was looking for. However I found both pairs had very little upper treble. It sounded to me like a big roll-off after 6-8 khz which makes no sense to me at all. The Andromeda with close to the Atlas bass would be a perfect fit for me, but it appears nothing in the Campfire stable offers this.
Gosh, even the $350 Fiio's do!

People have called the the Atlas the Vega/Andromeda love child as has the best of each. Vega bass and Andromeda high end.

Was the Atlas broken in and what cable?

I've found that the SXC 8 balanced is the best for the Atlas, deep defined bass, wide soundstage and smooth details highs. This is the setup I use on my WM1Z.

That shell design is pretty cool... whether the ridges will be comfortable however is another matter ha!

I always thought that the Dorado would be a perfect hybrid between the Vega and the Andromeda and thus the perfect IEM. However, when I bought one, I was utterly disappointed. If the new Solaris is what the Dorado could have been then it's an insta buy for me.
