Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Looks like it, interesting...

The sound tuning was even more tricky, the CFA team had spent weeks to obtain the satisfactory tune, but they would not stop without having break through. In order to deliver the best characteristics of the stainless steel casing, they upgraded the BA driver for mid tunes. Together with the TAEC technology, they finally built the Andromeda with even better performance in vocal and density!

ughh, now I want to know more about this..

Is this SS with different mid driver the new Andromeda that there was talk about?

I hope so because I just got the version 2 Andromedas last month and I don’t see them making a cable down version because of the weight. (like the atlas) People love the sound but are having some fit issues even trying to wear them over ear anyways.

Honestly if the Andros fit my ears well I'd pick up that SS version to have it. I guess it's a good problem for me that they don't.
I wonder if CA is able to make the edges a bit smoother with SS version. This was my issue after an hour of listening.

The shell looks the same as the previous versions but who knows!

The Atlas is smooth

But the edges on the Atlas aren't as prevalent as the Andro.

sign me up for another SS Andro if edges are smooth!!!!

Oh man,

Using stock marshmallow tips + Andromeda + UP OCC cable + IEMatch (2.5mm balanced, Ultra-High Sensitivity) + Cayin N5ii (low gain, slow roll-off) and it sounds so clean.

Andromeda S should be in my hands in the next 5 hours. I’ll be in Hong Kong, might as well pick one up while I’m there.

Comparing Andromeda S to a normal Andromeda. Same tips, same source. Keep in mind that the normal version is a demo that probably has countless hours on it. The Andromeda S is on its first hour. I’m not sure if I believe in burn in, but here’s what I hear so far:

Andromeda S has thicker and more forward mids. I also feel that the bass is slightly more prominent, but that could just be a side effect of the mids being pushed forward.

The biggest difference is in the treble. The normal Andromeda “sparkle”... it’s not in the Andromeda S.

To be honest, I prefer the normal Andromeda’s sound quite a bit more. It’s just different from every other IEM on the market. But maybe I’ll come to love the Andromeda S eventually.
