I brought it to a local retailer who has a cable guy and did it for $10.
Ironically, I'm getting a better bass response from the now-worn-out generic Chinese tips that the seller threw in than the replacement stock silicones I ordered, marshmallow tips, SpinFits, Spiral Dots, etc., probably due to the relatively deep insertion depth. I am strongly missing the addictive incredibly fast, non-boomy, well-extended bass, although the subdued mid-treble due to the long bore is a peeve.
What tips have people here successfully used to get that sweet sub-bass without struggling to get the right seal? I've heard recommendations for Acoustunes, Symbio W tips, Complys, and Sony hybrids, but I've heard about fit issues with the Symbios elsewhere, which has me concerned. I'm also wondering whether it may be worth trying larger Spiral Dots.

I have had success with RHA regular clear or white tips, not double flange and also sure seal that come with Aurisonics.

If you really want sub-bass, switch to a pure copper cable, a warmer DAP and use low gain =P

Has anyone tried the Oriveti Affinity cable (https://www.oriveti.com/product-page/premium-iem-upgrade-cable-mmcx-3-5mm-stereo)? It's an 8 conductor hybrid cable, like the ALO Reference 8. In the few reviews I've found, it was well rated, and the price is less that the ALO equivalent.

Has anyone used the Woo Audio WA7 with the Andromedas? If so, was there any perceptible hiss? Was it musical or do you guys think Andromeda does better with a solid state amp?
In my opinion separate amps or desktop system for IEMs is overkill and very often sound is even worse. Better buy is decent DAP or maybe even phone...

Agreed. Considering the sensitivity of the Andromeda (=susceptibility to hiss), that would especially apply to them. Particularly with a tube amp. And then there is the all important output impedance issue with Andros. Didn't find the WA7's output impedance in a quick search, but you want it to be between 1-2 for them, or to use an IEMatch to get it into that neighborhood.

Thanks for this useful info. Yet, I am also considering to try a little further improvement to SQ of the Andro. Currently I am using NW ZX-300. They sound nice, but I have read comments WM1A or the A&K SP1000 sounds more better. I am okay with the ZX300's small screen, 16 GB memory and other less powerful features. But if a USB AMP+DAC like PHA-3 can bring new life to the Andro and I could save money... I have a discount tag on the PHA-3 from a supplier at the moment.
Do you think portable USB amps are okay with Andro? I am not much wise about the impedance factor. So simple "yes, go for it or no..." suggestions will be helpful

Questyle amp tech absolutely sings with the whole Campfire range, but specifically the Andro. They sounded great out of both the QP2R and CMA400i - can't remember a particularly huge amount of hiss, but I do have an IEMatch so may have used that.
QP2R / Andro combo is the best I have personally heard (I'm a ZX300 owner, for reference). Never heard the higher end A&K models, though.

Sounds good with this, if you prefer more warmth and bass. Otherwise the SP1000 for the win.

Another limited edition of Andromeda has been announced - this time with stainless steel housings. I haven't seen the MSRP as yet.
