Campfire Audio - Introducing 2 new models Hello Andromeda and Nova

Btw, any notes on CA regarding reliability / customer service? The brand isn't very well known (or easy to find for demo) in Europe.... or at least, if it is, it was not known to me. But then again, I'm definitely not an IEM guy...

Their customer service is great. I've owned multiple ALO Audio/Campfire Audio gear (Same company) such as the Andromeda, CDM and Studio Six and have never experienced an issue with any of their products. They aren't cheap but everything is very well made. I also had a chance to meet some of the team in Portland last year and it's a really cool place and a great work environment they have there so they get my full support for making high quality and great sounding gear, all built right there in Portland, Oregon.

Good call moving to the Andromeda too, I think you'll be very impressed coming from the SE846. I'm also not really an IEM guy but even I was thoroughly impressed and continue to be enamored by the Andromeda. You really don't need to spend any more money to get enjoyment out of them either, I use mine with the stock cable and my iPhone 6 and they sound fantastic. Better than the SE846 sounded with my FIIO X5 at least

So where did people buy theirs in Europe?
I have mine ordered at a shop for a couple of days and just found out the CA Blog, it has a post there saying this shop is not an Authorized Dealer and they don't honor warranty in stuff bought there. :-|
(we're talking a 1300 EUR/$1403 purchase, which is what the Andromeda cost me due to tax).

Not even sure if that would be legal in the EU, but I'd certainly be disappointed if I buy a CA product new and factory-sealed and then have some problem and CA refuses warranty. They come from CA's factory after all, regardless of where bought.

Had the same issue happen with Sennheiser in the past... I bought the HD800 at a shop that wasn't even an AD. After contacting them to get a "free 2 year warranty extension" promotion, they pointed out that it was only valid for AD units, and those boxes came with a postcard to fill in and send back to them.

Without asking tho, they mailed me that card home and still gave me the +2 years of extra warranty.
Have to say that was nice of them. Had more interactions with Sennheiser before and they always had great customer service, top notch at least in EU.

Also, I ordered the Andromeda from that shop because the one that CA listed (In Austria) doesn't even have the model show up in their webshop. Not just the andromeda, but the whole CA isn't in the list of brands. Plus they ignored my email asking about it. Not the best authorized dealer you can get, IMHO.

I have only made good experiences with their distributor in Austria.
The product manager's email adress is on CA's homepage, have your reached out to him? He's a very responsive and nice guy! I'm sure he'll help you out.
Their homepage is not a Webshop that's right.
Are you sure they didn't respond? Maybe it just got caught by the spamfilter, or maybe your mail got caught. Many things can happen...

I bought the Andromeda, but did not open it for more than 1 week was going to trade with someone, then decided to open to give it a shot before trade, within few hours PM the guy and told him I want to keep the Andromeda, it sounded so good, I currently has Layla II and Zeus XIV, and now decide to sell both and just keep Andromeda :smile::smile:

Just got an email from the shop saying they will ship soon. Not sure how long it will take to get here since they have warehouses in multiple countries, but it seems I'll finally check out the Andromeda!

I'm both very curious and very skeptical. Hopefully it won't be just a "Good, but..meh" experience. I have the amazon box all ready to return the SE846 if the Andromeda pass the test.

Lol ok, anyone here play battlefield1? Im pretty active on it online on ps4. I usually use my v moda crossfade wireless with boom pro mic, but last night my ears got hot etc so I switched it to my Trinity audio PM4. (Didnt need mic feature last night) It sounds awesome through my CFW but through them IEM's it was awesome in a different way, just pure awesomenesd! I highly suggest vega/andromeda users to connect them to their controller to play BF1 and report back the sound! I sometimes connect my cayin c5 through the controller too. Jumping on now actually, war never sounded so good lol

Just got my Andromeda in today. Plugged them into my Oppo HA-2 and did a super quick comparison to my FLC 8S and Fidue Sirius. In short, I am thoroughly impressed and I think these will be my new favorites. However, the Noble Katana should be here next week. By then, I should know for sure that the Andromeda is the best among what I currently have. I'm interested to see how they stack up against the Katana because these bad boys are impressive!

I'm definitely looking forward to your impressions with the Andromedas vs the Katanas!

I'll be sure to report back! However, I am not the most technical or articulate in this hobby so my impressions may not hold much weight in the community
