I didn't have measurements, so I need to verify this, but the aim was thinner walls and a smaller outer lip...both are things a few cup makers on the threads have touted as potential design improvements...I personally thought it just made them look slimmer and less clumsy

I've got some pics of both aluminum and mahogany cups that i've made the last weeks, also custom size, at least on the inside. But I can't post pictures... anyone know why?

these are the results.. a bit rough around the edges but something to start out with!
same piece of wood, colours depending on different directions of the wood. Very hard to get a good photo of how the wood actually looks, but trust me when I say that its good
