I am going to buy ATH-ES7s for my ipod. Does anyone want to talk me out of it. My HD 202 just aren't all that great, they were cheap but not all that great SQ wise

Why would anyone talk you out of it? Sounds like you made a good choice. Be careful and avoid the fakes which are all over ebay though.

As a user myself it has a killer bass and a in your face style presentation which is agrssive. However, it turns to another beast altogether when recabled with good cables. My recabled one has a much better soundstage, tighter bass and better highs. I just love em

Are the fakes made in china or are the real one made in china too.

the ES7's are very nice headphones. There may be one still in the F/S forum.

So far no one has claimed they are not worth the money and I should get the SQ5A or the the FC700A instead so next paycheck it's the ES7s. Thanks for comments.
