My Z2 is due for delivery hopefully today, if not tomorrow. I believe there is a firmware update already, supposedly it was distributed via Zishan's Taobao page. I wonder if anyone can find it? I can't.

I downloaded this from Earbuds Anonymous as well, but just ordered the Z2. Have you applied it? Also, given the three buttons is it tricky to install? Thanks.

I'm waiting on delivery still. I suppose the firmware installation is the same procedure as for Z1, which is straightforward.

I am going to do a short (very) review of both of them by around next week, however I don't have any extra (same) op amp to do the type of comparison that you wanted, sorry.

Z1 is stuck at 16/48 for USB DAC function. It cannot read anything higher natively.

Does this mean the dac is limited to 16/48 as well?

I got my Z2 this morning. To confirm, yes the firmware update is exactly that - unpack the bin file and put it in on your card, put it in the player, when you turn the player on the blue light flashes quickly, and then you turn it off and remove, and with the DAC left is now left and right is right (without firmware update it's reversed in DAC mode).

I got my Z2 this morning. To confirm, yes the firmware update is exactly that - unpack the bin file and put it in on your card, put it in the player, when you turn the player on the blue light flashes quickly, and then you turn it off and remove, and with the DAC left is now left and right is right (without firmware update it's reversed in DAC mode).
