Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-cancelling over ear headphones

I must say, this really concerns me.

According to the specs sheet on their website, they're 100% identical to Px7 S2 (which by the way are now on sale for £199 on the B&O website), so why relaunch them?

I fear they've discovered an actual issue with the original Px7 S2 that they now have addressed with S2e.

But what is it?
Upgraded DSP engine and retuned drivers apparently.....I'm waiting for a couple of reviews to filter through to see if there's any discernible differences

I can't imagine there would be a huge difference between the s2e and regular s2. I'll wait for reviews but I think if I really wanted to upgrade, I'd go with the Px8. Definitely happy with the px7 s2.

Especially given PX8 can be had for around 500-450 if you shop around.

Feels like the s2e is trying to capture that middle market between PX7s2 and PX8, real hands on reviews are going to be interesting.

Looks like the s2e does not have real leather pads/headband? guess it would be too similar to Px8s then.

Ebay has second hand Px8s for around £350-400 sometimes I saw one go for £326 last week, but might be worth checking if the seller can provide a receipt and proof of purchase.

Entire B&W site is still down for me since yesterday, can't blame them for grabbing that PX7s2 bargain.

Don't forget Topcashback B&W 4.25% for Brits :relieved:

Agreed. Px8 is $550 for black Px8 and $519 for the tan model right now on Amazon in the US for those who are considering one (or #2?). Says it is Shipped and Sold by Amazon too.

While I’m still using Px7 Carbon, wonder if the improvement is worth the penny.
PX7s2 and PX7 are 2 completely different headphones. SQ? May be better/more neutral with S2, depending on your preferences (s1 is on the darker side) but may lack volume in some cases. Anc and mics - S1 is better. Durability - S2 is better.

I think adding the 3.5mm jack back to them was smart, although at this point, they should have just created a new model.

There's no added 3.5mm jack o Px7 S2e, just like on Px7 S2 and Px8.

You can use a 3.5mm source via the USB-C input though, with the included cable, while the headphones are powered on (again, just like Px7 S2 and Px8).

Thanks for sharing their pros/cons. Hmmm it’s confusing to introduce the Px7 S2e. Why can’t they named it S3.

I suppose they need to be rebuilt from a scratch to be called S3 in B&W tradition)

I dunno if this site will work for everyone
Just to be mentioned, we craft custom made to order pads for PX, PX5, PX7s1 PX7s2, as well as faulty drivers restoration.
