I guess Piotr Ryka could chime in. I had a pleasure to read his comparative impressions on a Polish website. I will not provide the link as I hate to see how the online translators slaughter most languages and you'd hardly understand a single thing.

The fact that the Phonitor is designed for 600 ohm headphones is one of the reasons I placed my order for the T1. The T1 should mate well with my Zana Deux SE as well so I should have 2 amps that drive it very well. I'm still waiting on my T1.

Skylab what would you go for :
simphony
concerto\CORDA STAGEDAC combo

Would the combo solution be an important upgrade to the simphony in terms of power and quality sound with the coming T1?

Head-fi friends, today I spoke by skype with good friend from Beyerdynamic headquarters from Germany and I obtained new info about T1 and comming products. Friend said me that they concentrate on production of T1 for this year. In the end of this year, before Christmass or during next year, they will release the open and closed variant. They will be probbably released together. The new information is the fact, that there will be the choice of stock cable with 6.3mm jack and balanced one with XLR’s. The other news is that the Premium models like DT 770, DT 880 and DT 990 is going to be able recable with one used in T1. So you can perfectly improve these models.

I spoke about amps for T1 and coming variants. Beyer understand that in market are excellent solutions like Lehmann audio Linear or other, which deliver excellent quality for T1. At about two years ago Beyer made decision release HeadZone system, which is very unique and successful device for games programmers, for computer style work with sound, so they prefer more development in this area as the progress with audiophile amps. In market are very specialized producers who deliver unique and excellent devices for T1 for all sorts of music. In this way, Beyerdynamic is very familiar in communication with well known and well familiar market companies which sell headphones, amps, DAC … to create powerful sets with T1, to give to customers excellent offer with very attractive price. In Czech republic this is realized by BaSys company, and this approach scored success. So Beyer is going not to upgrade A1. The competition in the area of amps is so strong so Beyer prefer the areas where they can give excellent and very unique solutions, but they are open for market cooperation as I presented. A1 amp is good device for hifi, for connection with preamps and premium models, but for super high ends like HD 800 or T1 is A1 problematic device.

The friend said me that they increased the number of produced models of T1 per day four times as in the beginning and the it is not so enough, so successful and popular are T1. I am able compare T1, HD 800 and D-7000 so I have concrete info, as I said in my reviews.

Another year to wait for a closed T1?! Uggg! The biggest dilema is I would like to hear peoples reviews of all three models of T1 before I buy one to try.

Your friend seems rather cavalier about the information he shares. If he hasn't signed an NDA, I'm sure he is under some obligation of confidentiality. Don't get me wrong, I like information, but it seems that your friend is taking some risks. Unless this is a controlled leak. Is it?

Well, not really "prefectly," right? You have declared that the T1 cable is not high end, so perhaps those models will be improved, but they will fall short of perfection.

bdh – do not speculate, actual T1 are excellent compromise for open and closed aspect, so semi-open is perfect. There is air and something is sealed. It is same as DT 880 in Premium class. When you like T1, the order is perfect idea for you. I compared T1 vs. D-7000 vs. HD 800.

jenneth – I advice to try T1. They are more balanced, musical, very continuous in compare with HD 800. (when you racable with StefanAudioArt Voice cable, then the HD 800 sounds much better, so I compare stock cables). HD 800 are very analytical and T1 are more musical. When you try T1, you will be satisfied. I own both HD 800, T1, D-7000.

The Monkey – Casea Lyra pictures are from the producers site. There is no problem. Other are from internet or THIS head-fi forum. So copy/paste method. I am not able do pictures and naturally you know the reason why ... For first issue, we need differ „user’s fun-style“ communication and official medial message. The only regular information is one which is written officialy on site of producer, so it is different situation.

The comment I quote above makes absolutely no sense to me, and I am not new to this area. Perhaps you can clarify?
