I'll send them an email and see if they even have them. Then I'll find out when I can do it.
oh God the excitement! I've never heard Beyerdynamics though, so I guess I'll just start with the best

I bought many of the James Bond steelbooks blu-ray for $10 when they were on sale...
Now go get those T1s!

If it were only that easy.
Me + Darkvoice 332 + Compass + HD650 = NO MONEY

I've sent the email and will do a quick impression with the T1, GS1000 and HD650 from Heed Canamp and Darkvoice 332 (if they let me do the audition/if they have the T1).

neptius - can you please use the normal "multi-quote" feature of the forums, so that people can see the post you are referring to included in your post? And stop replying to EVERYONE so that your quoted replies don't get too long when you do that?

Otherwise, I and many others will continue to skip reading your posts. It would be nice to see a fresh and concise post from you that I can actually read and understand.

HeadphoneAddict – No problem. There is only the question how to „quote“ in case when you are able read the head-fi once per week. But naturally, it is better to reduce the number of issues. I think, up to 5 is ideal solution for everybody.

The store I was talking about doesn't get the T1's for a couple weeks

But: I'll get to audition them and the GS1000's with a couple amps and some good CD players.

Sadly I'll have to wait at least until the end of March according to my preferred dealer. But to calm down I like to say to myself: "Waiting is a virtue."

I think the States will get it earlier... we invent and build it, you buy it first... and, well, I hope they don't make the "Handcraftet in Germany"-mistake (cause we Germans like to use a "T" at the word's end while you English speakers like the "D" more), like they did at Sennheiser with the Orpheus back in the old days...

Just spent my first 10 minutes listening to them. I think they're good.

Pretty straight down the middle. Maybe a slightly laid-back presentation. Vocals a little recessed. Solid but not overly emphatic bass. Maybe Piotr is having a hard time describing because I think they really are pretty straight down the middle ...

... on first listen anyway. More tomorrow am with fresh ears.

I get the impression you aren't overly enjoyed with the T1, & prefer the HD800? True, or am I reading too much into your comments?

& straight down the middle equals Neutral?

I find them very neutral and revealing. I'm not sure what he meant my "strange". While they are neutral, I do find the bass more impactful than the HD800s (one of the big reasons why I went with these) and very musical at the same time.

I keep hoping to see a review along the lines of "more transparent than the D7000 and a bit tighter grip of the low end too" but doesn't seem like the T1 is quite fitting of that. Please keep posting your listening results, folks.
