What an obsession is this with impedance?
Why exactly low z is mobile and high z is high end?
The Empyrean are mobile?
The Utopia?
The Ananda?
The Arya?
The Clear?
The Ether?
etc , etc
Is this some kind of joke?

HE-1000SE is very bad because of low Z. Hifiman shouldn't have built for mobile us0rz. Should have gone 2000 Ohm.

Empyrean also NOT GOOD. Why did Antonio Meze ignore us power amp users?

Indeed. Beyer is no longer really underrated and unknown, they made a big name too.
They were never underrated and unknown. They are almost 100 years old legendary headphone, mic brand. Beyer did one of the first headphones on the planet.

I honestly think they move to mobile audio from high-end with these 3rd generation. I am not sure how many of the mobile phone music listeners are really looking into measurements. They changed the "audience" and also the market strategy.
I don't agree.

I know. I meant in general, like in physical stores you only see very popular brands like Sony, Beats, Apple, Samsung and so on.

because he knew something that most people don't know

“Build with efficiency not brute force„

I’m going to have to disagree with about both of those headphones not being good. I own the HEKse’s and I’ve demoed the Empyrean’s extensively. Both I would rank above the old Beyerdynamic’s offerings. The T1.3’s are TBD.

The Lady has gone to fairer shores.

The new guy who has come to take her place is he who's imagination fills a lot of hearts and minds of love, friendship and wanderlust.

"Should have gone 2000 Ohm" :p

Wasn't there an Audeze prototype that was over 1,000 ohm? I'd kind of like to see someone release a 1,000+ ohm headphone with efficiency in the 80s db range just to see what kind of amps would be developed just to power it.

No idea. I do know some of the Abyss headphones have efficiency in the 80s dB. The Abyss like Slim1970's profile picture.

I now own T1 3rd gen, so I might be able to answer some of the question for you guys. Just do not expect me going into too much technical detail, I never wrote any audio equipment review before and English is also not my first language.

I currently own Audeze LCD 2 (Fazor), and using Meier Corda Jazz FF + Meier Corda Daccord FF, I have heard many of open back headphones below £1000 but if you will ask for some direct comparison it will be from memory only. I also owned original T1, T1 2nd gen, and DT 1990.
