Beyerdynamic Support? My opinion: Terrible....

Where is it?!
 
After weeks of emailing and still with no reply, I don't know what to do now.
Has this ever happened to anyone else?
I thought the Beyerdynamic support would a be painful transaction.
 
My headphones, DT990 600 ohms right channel stopped working,
what I believe was a defect due to wires coming loose since they are, quote "handmade".
I bought these headphones in April!
I didn't think this would happen with a quality pair of headphones
I want to repair or replace my broken headphones under warranty
Its unacceptable...
 
I have tried contracting them by their website

And now, I am basically stuck with broken headphones until they reply
I ma currently using my AT-M50s/AD700
 
Does anyone has any tips to help me or has any experience with Beyerdynamic?
Thanks to this, I don't think I can recommend Beyers to friends
(Successfully recommended 4 people for Ultrasones, Audio-Technica, and Sonys)

What about to send them on RMA where you bought it?
What do you expect them to do? Say magic formula and headphones will magically repair?
Or would they tell you: open it and solder it by yourself? Of course NOT.
The only way is RMA.

I called them about 3 days ago to order some parts and that went smoothly. I also used the general contact form to ask for info and got a response within a day. Did you call during their business hours?

If you are in the states did you try them? I sent in a parts request form for a replacement grill for my DT880's and this guy contacted me.

This does not reflect my experience with Beyerdynamic support at all.
 
I have dealt with both Beyerdynamic Germany and UK. They have been fantastic. Replied to my emails after one day and were very helpful in troubleshooting my problem. Both support teams offered to inspect the headphones. My headphones were checked and were back to me in 3 days. Couldn't be happier.
 
Maybe you should specify whether you were dealing with Beyerdynamic USA?
