What would the general consensus be on these two fine phones? Currently I have the Beyer DT990/600 and a Headroom micro amp/dac which is just ok but definitely tons of room for improvement. I feel like these cans are just under-powered and really want to upgrade to one of the above headphones with either the Lyr or Mjolnir (Schiit) amps and likely a Bifrost dac.

PLEASE comment on these selections ASAP as I need to send these phones/amp/dac back this week and get whatever it is I will end up with headed this way. Thanks!

It all depends. Those 'phones are very different. Nothing is objectively better.

In my opinion, I'd go with the T1.

I have both, and enjoy both, but if I could only choose one it would be the T1.  To me it is the better all-arounder.  I prefer the larger sound stage and vocal presentation of the T1. You read a lot about the treble spike it has, but I actually enjoy it.  Sounds very smooth.

You can't go wrong with either, good luck.

Definitely, audez'e is a well regarded brand.

I have pretty much decided on the Schiit Mjolnir amp and most likely a Bifrost dac to start with. Plus a balanced cable to use with the amp and should soon be in audio heaven! Some coaching along by esteemed member here definitely helped stay on the right track with amp selection. This is a great site!

Both headphones are great with the right amp. I'm sure you'll like them.

Might be a bit dangerous to buy without trying? Maybe you like something better

I am really OK with my choice. Read many great reviews and besides the first time I saw a picture of these cans I thought to myself "Man I would like to try those I bet they are awesome" so after some pretty much in-depth visiting with Cory and reading many other reviews the choice was clear for me. They should be here in a couple of days. Ordered a Mjolnir amp with a Bifrost dac and balanced cables so should be ready to rock soon!
