back to the dt770

Isolation and SQ wise I'd go with K271S instead, or IEMs like Ety ER4S.

I heard mix reports of the sound quality of the K271s/272(but i'm still looking at them would you say their better than the DT770s)
and i'm looking for full sized

I've been on my quest for the greatest closed since I joined this board, haven't found a replacement for K271S yet, you can check my profile for what I've been through.

Yep, just the color difference and MKII comes with pleather and velour pads. I had to order velour pads for the original one separately.

How do you like your new headphones? Did you get an amp? If so, which one?

I too am torn between the Beyer DT 770 Pro 250 ohm, and the AKG K272 MK II.

I really liked the DT 880, but too much sound leakage for office. The DT 770 Pro 80 ohm bass was far too boomy for my taste.

yeah, the DT770(pro 80ohm) are king of the hill on the bass department , but i was just comparing the cans that the OP mentioned in the links.

but from what i have read on head-fi + many other various places, the DT770(Premium 250ohm) are still considered to be the bassiest cans of all the beyerdynamic lineup. Correct me if I'm wrong tho

The dt770 2005 edition that was provided in the link has lighter bass than the dt880. Ive had experience with both of them

I've decided to go with the DT770 600 OHM!!!! version, since the 880s would probably leak to much if i was in the library(hey who doesn't like listening to converge or The Dilinger escape plan?)
