I just randomly reading this thread and intrigued by thus Le phone. What I found out us quite shocking. But let's laid out the fact...

Is it true they don't have 3.5mm output to connect normal Earphone? Anybody use it already? Sorry if this has been answered before. I read 3-4 pages back and no mention about it

Well like they beat apple to 3.5mm connectorless.

Here are the facts :
- LeEco was formerly called LeTV
- LeTV phones had standard 3.5mm jacks
- LeEco phones ditched the 3.5mm jacks and were replaced with CDLA Type-C connectors

I got the Lenovo Vibe X3 since last Monday. Am I happy with my purchase? Yes, I am. I have not compared the phone with all possible combinations I have in my possession but I can say it's much better than my LG G3. Bass has more authority and is more defined. Treble is more extended and at the same time not harsh. Cymbals for instance have now this subtle shimmer which was lacking on the LG G3. Separation is definitely better. Difficult to say whether soundstage was improved. Probably more or less the same.

The strange thing is that I didn't like the sound signature when using the Turbo Hifi on. It adds some artificial bloom to the sound which seems at first hearing very attractive but gets annoying after a while. Things fell into place without Turbo Hifi on. The artificialness disappears and now I know I will never switch on Turbo Hifi again.

Have other users the same experience? Is this Turbo Hifi just some EQ-like thing without altering the electronic circuit? And this is the main question: is the phone using all audio capabilities without the Turbo on? I hope someone can enlighten me.

By the way, the sound coming from the small speakers is amazing. The body of the sound defies the size of the phone. Bass is of course lacking but the rest of the spectrum is there with a realistic presence.

It's the cheaper version of Axon7.. Prices for the 64gb version have now dropped to $250.. Looks like a good deal!

Hello, I'm considering buying a Xiaomi Mi Note or Redmi Note 3. Anyone have both Mi Note and Redmi Note 3? How was the sound quality difference?
If they aren't much different, I will consider Redmi Note 3 better since it has other specs better.

I lost my Redmi Note 2 Prime on airport and now using my crappy Lenovo a328 with strange background noises.

I have the Xiaomi Mi Note. I doubt the regular Redmi Note can match the clarity and depth of the Mi Note, its main strengths.

But who knows, maybe the Note 3 is good enough with the onboard chip.

You mean with the Turbo Hifi off?

How is the phone overall? Screen, speed etc?

I've owned Redmi Note 3 Pro for a week or something and I can confirm that - for a phone it is quite awesome, very fast, etc. As a DAP... no, not so much - it's on warm and kinda artificial side and for me Lumia 640 Lte plays way better and more natural,it even have more power than Note 3 Pro. For me, Redmi Note 3 Pro isn't better than my beloved Sony NWZ A15 or cheap Fiio X1.

I think Mi Note Pro gonna be way better, it have Sabre DAC while Redmi uses Snapdragon for audio...

Guys,

Between iphone 6 and iphone SE is anyone worth buying for sq? My iPhone 4 needs retirement.

Sorry Bro.. You may have to retire the fruit brand if you're looking for SQ
biggrin.gif
.. Joking aside, both phones are great for DAP use.. but if you're looking for SQ, you may have to attach an external DAC/Amp to improve the sound.. Well, it actually depends on what IEMs/Headphones you're going to use.

Lenovo Vibe X3 seems like a great phone. Screen is very good with more intense colours than my LG G3. Visibility outside is also better. The phone performs without any hiccups, all UI elements move seemlessly. I must say I do not play games on my phone so I cannot judge its performance under the stress of fast moving games. The UI, especially with another launcher installed, is perfect as it stays very close to stock google. Battery time also improves on the LG G3. All in all I find this phone a solid upgrade compared to my older phone. Mind you, I'm not a specialist as my experience with current flag ships is limited. I also think as hardware gets better it's a question of diminished returns.

And yes... in order to get the best sonic results for my personal preference you have to switch off Turbo Hifi.

Try the UAPP (Universal Audio Player Pro) trial from the google play store, as much as the phone might not do it with its own software, that app will tell you if it is possible at all :)
