What I love about the 10 is that it offers high desolation music, boom sound quality everywhere, it is a native from it hardware.  This will be awesome for people who want smaller screen as well.

Totally agree. It was sort of a pain with the V10 we had where only certain apps worked, right? I have the 10 now too and agree with everything you said in your review.

I have the Axon Elite. In Poweramp it says it plays 24bit 192khz:
Output/Hi-Res Output (experimental)/Wired Headset/Aux
Don't know if I'm looking at the right place, but it really makes a difference when it's on.

Here you can check the output, where you see the file is resampled to 48khz in my case.

Mine says Hi-Res output aswell, but only for USB DAC, not for internal DAC.

Didn't do anything special. It says Snapdragon 24bit PCM, so maybe it's something related with the cpu and it isn't using the hifi chip at all?

It indeed looks like your phone is using the Snapdragon DAC and not the AK4490 DAC.
Thanks for your effort! I'll look further into the matter :)

From which website can I buy the Vibe X3 Youth for the cheapest price? I live in India. Also, what's the difference between Youth version and the normal one?

From the poweramp forums:

The actual internal DAC model used is something that is not possible to detect and display (yet). The "Snapdragon 24-bit PCM" labelling used in Poweramp means the general internal API approach to Hi-Res audio.

Of course, if advanced hardware is installed on the device, it's used when audio is played.

For V10 it's Hi-Res (when Hi-Res output is enabled in Poweramp. The notification area DAC switch doesn't affect Poweramp) - confirmed also with audio capturing from Wired Headset 3.5" output.

It's about the LG V10, but it should be the same here. I've posted there, as I think they will be able to provide a good answer.

does lenovo vibe x3 youth and normal version have the same dac or sound quality? I couldn't find much difference other than the processor. if it has the same sound quality as lg v10, why would anyone buy the more expensive lg v10?

'Cause LG's more popular brand. There are more brands using ESS Sabre DAC/ TI/Maxim opamps and some sounding even better than V10 (Meizu Pro 5 in earlier software iteration as an example) including Meizu, Vivo, Qiku, Xiaomi and more...

Hi!
I'm not really expert in audio(yet) but I started to care alot about it. Anyways,I don't know what I should buy to start my audiphile route;I had an lg g4(with quadbeat 3 earphones),I liked its sound at first, but then I wanted something more alive if you know what I mean.I was thinking about getting the S7 with M40x,but then I saw the htc 10(not us version,so comes with high res earphones) and I don't know if its earphones are worth it,to not get an M40x with it.
So what do you think? S7 with m40x or Htc 10(with its stock earphones),or htc 10 with M40x?
And do you think I'm going to notice a big difference in audio? My quadbeat 3 are probably the best I ever had :p
Thanks!

Thats the cheapest price I found on the Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth. Not sure if they ship to India. And I'm not sure if it really has the es9018k2m DAC equipped. But this website says it does:

Also, to answer your other question... I ordered the Lenovo Vibe X3 Youth but then cancelled and ordered an LG V10 because I live in the US and the X3 Youth will not be compatible with US 4G LTE network bands. The LG V10 is 4G LTE capable in the states.

which model of xiaomi? is it mi5? MI5 works with US carriers.....so, it would be a good buy if its better than V10.
