I really like xplay6 at $399 price point considering it has the best sound quality among all phones released till date but after using le max with it's giant 6.33 screen i can't go back to smaller screen now.

So my best option right now is either the nex s or the upcoming v40. I am leaning towards v40 since it will have better screen then the nex s. Though nex s has warmer signature which i think is a plus.

My heart says save the money and go for the best sound with xplay6 but my mind says don't go back to smaller screen.

I hate the notch of the V40. Why not a used V35?

I wonder how's the sound on the new(ish) Nokia X6 ("Nokia 6.1 plus" on the U.S market).
I remember Nokia used to make phones with great sound back in the day. Anyone tried it??

I'm checking the market for phones under ~140$. So far i came out with:

1.Motorola X Nexus 6 XT1103
2.HTC M9
3.HTC M8
4.Xiaomi Redmi 4X

*LG and Meizu are not on the list because they turn into trash really fast.

Any other phones to consider? I dont need any current flagships\latest and greatest.

Will i ever replace my Moto G 1st gen?

@artpiggo can you confirm whether Vivo Nex S support High impedance earphone or headphones like they do support in LgG and V series ? Anything above 80ohms ?
I have a 250ohm Beyerdynamics DT 880 that's why.

Can confirm.

Sorry i didn't get you. You mean you already have tested ? Does the Vivo Nex drives high impedance ear/headphones easily ?

Yes it can trigger high gain mode. The volume will be louder and would loud enough for high imp cans.

My old N900 has good sound too .

After some research , i found that it use a Texas Instrument TPS65950 , which contains 5 DAC and 2 ADC .
