To say it sucks is probably an overstatement :)

You will get one day battery life with moderate use and with heavy use you will need to top late in the day. This is not a Huawei or Xiaomi smartphone!
Thanks for the reply. Your inventory shows hifi sources. So does G7 get any headtime, in the presence of mighty N6ii?

It's not a fair comparison :). N6ii and the DX158 are superior in sound quality but that is to be expected. Different scenarios, different usage! I would rather compare it to my other smartphones. I have a Huawei and a Oneplus 6 smartphone, I prefer both of them over the G7 as a pure smartphone but in sound quality the G7 is miles ahead. LG should just do something about their UI.

I use the G7 when I need music on the go or when travelling. On the go with iems the difference between N6ii/DX150 and the G7 is so small that it's doesn't matter for me.

Sharing my thoughts on lg g7 vs v50

-G7 is leaner on low end maybe the more neutral sounding as a whole

-V50 digs depeer on low end, midrange and treble sounds warmer and tamed but not audibly recessed or rolled off by any means.

Details, imaging, soundstage etc. are quite the same.

That's because the V40/G8 and up is tuned by Meridian and not B&O. The (generally preferred) difference is exactly what you noted.

As for the LG stock music player. Early versions would cut off the very start of DSD tracks, but they've steadily improved in the later versions. In a way it's preferred because it's directly mated with the hardware, but it is feature lacking compared to apps like UAPP.

I listen to music mostly on the go because of the nature of my job.

I had LG V40 and it was nice, I wanted something better so I bought Cowon Plenue D High Resolution Music Player 32GB which I really liked.

I sold the Cowon Plemue D and bought Cowon PM2-128SL Plenue M2 PM2 High Resolution Music Player 128GB Platinum Silver ( added 400gb micro sd )

The sound quality was amazing but I wanted to also listen to music on Spotify so I sold the Cowon music player and bought LG V50.

I got a used one with slightly crack screen for $235 on ebay.

I am not really feeling the LG V50 at the moment I have used Power Amp, JetAudio and the stock music player.

The stock music player sound better than the other two.

I need advice on which app to use and whatever I need to do in order to have better sound quality from the V50.

Also I listen mostly via the phone 3.5mm port not via Bluetooth.

Try UAPP and neutron and set hires driver in its setting.

Congrats on your purchase. Any comparisons against mighty dx200??

Lg v50 sounds pretty much like sony ZX507 can deliver. Tonal is reference with full soundstage.

It sounds like 70% of DX200. It lacks smoothness and background details compared to DX200.
