Hi all. I live in Norway but will be visiting NYC next week and would really like to pick up a pair of these Denons. Does anyone know what price I can get in store of J&R?

A couple weeks ago someone got them for $600 from J&R. It wasn't the advertised price at the time.

I paid $577 shipped and my dealer said that is almost at cost.  There is no margin on headphones.

I am trying to get myself a pair of these. I just called J&R. They quoted me $1000. I asked about a lower price, and He said they were not in stock and he would not be able to judge what he could sell them for until they are.

I bought them from J&R backordered 2 weeks ago. They have yet to come in. I paid $650 plus tax only because I live in NY. They will not budge lower than $650, and most salesmen won't even go that low. I'd say because of the high demand of these headphones right now anything around $700 brand new is a decent deal.
