I was looking at the iPod Classic (7G) 160gb. Would that be the best option? Music library is fairly large. Keep in mind I am getting an RX 3-B and probably a DAC from them as well.
And quite a few people, myself included, would feel that's a small amount of music to carry. I like most of my library to be at my disposal,...the op seems to be looking for the same.
Largest currently available microSD is 64GB........128GB is SD size only and won't fit any of the players you mentioned, but it will fit the Tera Player.

Cowon D2+, Rockboxed, 128gb sdxc card,...Is this acceptable? Especially since the micro sdxc max currently is 64gb. But, with WAV vs FLAC the capacity is still cramped on the sdxc card in the Tera Player. WAV is too large a file size for file hoarders,...
Thank you guys and sorry for the delay in response. I went on a mini vaca for the holiday.
So are there different brands of HDDs for the iPods or how does that work? This is the first time i'm hearing about this.
And as far as versions of iPods why the 5.5G over the 7G?
I really don't understand why there aren't any higher capacity players out there. Micro-sd cards are so tiny these days and hold up to 64 gigabytes, surely someone can make a player dedicated to having about 8 slots of those giving a capacity of 512 gigabytes which is about what I would need. It would cost about 600 euros if made correctly I figured. I knowA huge hole in the market. I am not a techie and am not aware of any possible difficulties with this but from my point of view it doesn't exacly seem like the hardest thing to do considering what is already archieved.
